Any problems getting the ladder climbers to stay on the siege towel ? I think they might be my next purchase.

Great looking collection Ron - I hope that someday mine will look as good. Those Dept 56 plam trees are fantastic looking, and also hard to find - long retired. I just got the Dept 56 City Well w/Palm Trees set. These have also been used by K&C in their desert dioramas as seen on their wed site. I also just got the JG Miniatures Old City corner tower and a wall section which I am very impressed with. Again, very nice - very nice indeed.

If you use a product called "Tacky Wax" there is absolutely no problem - You can get it through Treefrog and most other hobby shops. It will easily wash off K&C figures/accessories without harming the paint finish and will hold them in place preventing slippage or falls. I have used it very successfully on both my ladder set and the seige tower.

Mike

Actually I should have asked if the ladder on the towel and the one that comes with the three figures was the same. Or close to the same.

Yep - thats what I use on them - Tacky Wax is great.

The Tower Ladder I believe is a little bit bigger than the Set Ladder - they are both fine - but, Tacky Wax is a must for either. You can use both ladders with other sets as well.

WOW, those are nice; do you have the complete collection so far?

Still missing a few of the newest pieces - 5 or 6 - but, have everything else.

I am using some of the Saracens in my Napoleon in Egypt diorama as Attacking Mamelukes !

Also have a some Del Prado in my Crusaders and Napoleon in Egypt Dioramas - there is a great DP figure (MW063) Mameluke Senior Officer on Horseback ! - that figure goes great in either MK or NA scenes.

Here is one more pics from the Crusaders Display :D

You need a castle wall there Ron otherwise it looks like the guys are practicing to get into the 1099 ALL Levant diving team. Still a great collection

Way too funny, but maybe they're practicing aerial bombardment, one at a time! Ron, love to see the collection, especially set up on display. I would be interested in some overall shots of the office, purely for self-inspiration. Mike

Very nice Ron, your have quite the diverse collection of figures. I guess variety really is the spice of life :)

Perhaps those crusaders are in the circus ? They dive off the top into a teeny tiny bucket of water :D

LOL :p LOL :p

You know - everytime I look at them - I think the same thing - MK Olympic Tryouts ! ;)

I keep waiting for Andy to build some K&C Diorama Walls - but, probally have to cave in and buy the J&G Walls - nothing against them - just rather have King & Country.

That display is in your office? WOW, you must have an impressive office since I seem to recall from your other posts, this is only on of the periods on display, correct?

:D:D:D. I know what you mean. I have a similar problem but everytime I think about buying the castle wall pieces I think about all the sets I could buy instead:eek::).

Here is two pics of my modest collection with the use of the J&G Corner Tower and Wall. I am not disappointed at all in them.

That looks great - the Castle really does help the figures in a diorama :)

I guess I will break down soon enough - need one more conversationwith Andy to convince me that no K&C MK WALLS OR TOWERS ARE COMING :(

I do like the figs you have so far - you might want to look at Del Prado as well for filler figures - they have some good ones out there. I have one in mine in the photo - its the RED fig with White Cross.

Ron

I have a VERY LARGE CURIO in my office - it has on the Top Shelf - Scot Greys charging the French Line with the British Light Artillery Sets behind them.

Second Shelf is the John Jenkins - BM COLLECTION - everything in that series with extra sets and the Frontline French Flag Set ( I like that French Flag - although not right for the period ;) )

Third Shelf is NAPOLEON IN EGYPT - I think everyone has seen that diorama.

Fourth Shelf is the HIGHLANDER SQUARE with French Dragoons attacking :D

Fifth Shelf - BARE  - not sure what I going to put in there yet?

Bottom Shelf - CRUSADERS

Here are some of the pics from each shelf:

I noticed that one right away in your diorama aand wondered who had made it. I could tell from the base color that it wasn't K&C. I'll certainly look into Del Prado's medievel sets - thanks.

That is one well stocked curio mate. Really nice sets for all those periods. How long, if I may ask, has it taken you to put those together. Just wondering if I have enough time left on the planet.;):D
