I just got CF012 today and I love it. One quick question, all of the other Collector Club Soldiers that I have are 1/30 scale. This trooper is 1/32 scale. Are all of the Indian Army soldiers 1/32 scale including the new ones coming out next month? Let me know if anyone knows the answer.

Thanks,

Yes - I believe we will be seeing nothing but 1/32 Scale from now on (which is fine by me) because of the metal storage and cost - figures are sticking closer to the 1/32 scale if you have noticed. IMHO :)

Maybe we'll see the return of hollowcasting, too... :)

(Seriously, that was the development that enabled Wm. Britain to break the hold the German toy makers had on the British market.)

Prost!

If they change figure scale from 1:30 to 1:32 for WWII I'm out at 32$ a figure !

Alex

If they do change to 1/32,, at least we could buy FORCES OF VALOR vehicles to go with are figures.. Then we could have mulitple pieces armour,, We would be able to change the decals and numbering!!

I'm dead set against changing scales on a whole sale basis, I really like the larger size. Pay more for less?? no sense there.

Well someone needs to figure out how to get multiple tanks with different lettering for a good price..

Bingo! I agree with Ray, who wants two different scale figures in the middle

of a collection? If you are buying from multiple manufacters thats one thing,

but if you mainly buy from one or two they should stick with what they have

been producing.

I vote 1/30 !

This is why I selected KC in the first place!

We already have this situation with the American Revolution Series.

Have you put new American Blue Coats up next to the new British Red Coats - guess what happens

SIZE DIFFERENCE !

Didn't Andy make a statement not so long ago that he WAS NOT going to bring out 1/32 scale sets  If so, then why would he be doing 1/32 in the Collector Club range  You can count on one hand the number of companies making 1/30 scale whilst 1/32 figs are everywhere, doesn't make sense to change to 1/32 imho.

Makes perfect sense to switch to 1/32. If most of the collectors are 1/32 they may not buy K&C for the scale difference Andy changes to 1/32 BINGO 1/32 maybe more apt to add product to their 1/32 collection.

Oz, may be wrong here, but I thought Andy said that he would continue to put out figures in the scale that was most appropriate / compatible for the era, so as market leader in WWII, they would continue to be 1/30, but in other areas such as ACW, they would be closer to 1/32.

I could have dreamt this, but I feel sure he said something along these lines a while back

More like BANGO about 90% of his current 1/30 collectors.

I could see some sense in K & C testing the 1/32 scale market with some sets and having two scale options but to drop 1/30 would be a bad idea imo as that's mainly how they got where they are.

Take a look at Figarti sets in 1/32 scale, not fast sellers most of them. But their new stuff in 1/30 is sold out double quick.

Simon, I don't mind being corrected, but I'm never wrong ;)

Maybe he made both statements at some stage, hopefully not concurrently.

Ron:

Wow thats unfortunate, I don't collect that series so I hadn't noticed. I have seen certain figures that appear to be smaller, but I wouldn't be happy to find it in the middle of a series!

Perchaps......it is time for you to warm up one of your "Battle tanks!

Just in case you need to get Andy's attention!:D:D

I thought it cropped up in a thread a fair while back when one of the many scale wars were being fought.
Anyhoo, prefer he keep to 1/30.

Scale wars:D:D:D I think I rememember the scale statement as well, that WWII was 1/30, but other ranges like ACW would be more 1/32..Other ranges were mentioned that would be 1/32 like crusaders and some other ones I can't remember.
I've noticed that the WWII seem to be creeping down in size but not sure if this is intentional or not. For example the loading guy without the shell from 88mm Gun Crew Set A is the same pose as a figure from the newer 88 WS103. When you place these two figures side by side the newer guy is a full head shorter than the older guy.
