Ahoy Dispatches! (1 Viewer)

Cheers Brad, Louis, Ron, it's great that there are so many friendly people on this forum. I have not actually booked any dates yet but it would be cool to see the K&C museum if you are around when I visit.

If you go to New York - you should plan at least a couple of days in Washington, DC - see the modern day ROME

I would be glad to show you around town and the Capitol.

On the Florida front - my homestate - can show you around there as well.

Cheers, Ron

Being that the 1st is on a friday, do you all think it will be next week before we see ant new dispatches???....Sammy

No ... Fri is good, gives everybody something to chew on for the weekend.

Besides if I were Andi, I'll get it off my chest so I can relax over the weekend.

:)

By the way - How do you British folk take off for your Holiday ?* What is the usual place of choice ?

Ron

I am flying into Miami on 14th December this year, a week in West Palm Beach and a second week up near the Daytona area. It's cheaper going your side of the pond for the Christmas holidays rather than pay the energy prices to keep your home warm this end (Right Rob?)

September 2009 have booked a three week jaunt around New England (told my good lady we must visit a quaint little hamlet called Gettysburg :D during the trip). Flying into JFK for one night then travel via Mass. New Hampshire, Vermont down to Pennsylvania into West Virginia and Virginia with the intention of spending at least two nights in Washington before flying back to UK.

Sure would like to meet up with any of you guys either this year or next years trip.

Hope you have a great trip Reb,sounds like one you'll always remember, will enjoy your holiday snaps.
For our friends across the pond, when Reb refers to keeping the house warm, this is because British Gas have just announced that they are putting up our Gas prices by 35%!!.As Tony said on another thread the other day,at least Dick Turpin wore a mask!!:rolleyes:

Rob

Right Rob. In total this year since the start of 2008 our gas bills have gone up 50%!!!!
Our petrol/diesel prices have gone to record levels and food bills are increasing too.
And all this can only mean less money to buy toy soldiers. :(

WOW - 35% Increase in British Petrol

Man, I guess its time to get a wood burning stove. ;)

Lets plan on it - be glad to take you and Mrs. UK Reb ;) - out to dinner, when in Washington, DC. Once I have your travels dates - I will arrange a tour of the US Capitol for you and take you around some of the sites.

This is an open invitation for all other Treefroggers - come to Washington and I will be glad to show you the town.

I look forward to that and thank you for your kind invitation.
Whilst there I'll buy some gas for the guys back here and an Indian blanket for Rob to keep him warm for when we finally cannot afford to heat our homes anymore:eek:
Welcome to our third world country:(
