Last time I looked, and maybe Pete can clarify this but the act of blasphemy referred to using the name of the dity as a swear word. Not criticisnig or whatever a toy soldier company. Unless perhaps you think Andy is....no cannot be
Well not to put to fine a point on it but blasphemy can also mean irreverence toward something considered sacred or inviolable, such as K&C to some here.;)

I wish people would stop complaining about more "Shermans and Tigers" Just because Andy releases it does not mean you have buy the item. If don't like the item just simply don't buy the item. It also needs to to be understood that remakes of the same vehicles are produced because new collectors always come along and the majority of people would like to buy better versions of older tanks. For instance I have been collecting the desert war for almost 5 years and I recently decided to start collecting Battle of the Bulge and I missed out on the previous king tigers. So release of the new KT is a welcoming sight to me. I sure other collectors have been in my shoes before.

Great point, sometimes the wants and needs of newer collectors aren't factored into the "what I'd like to see done next lists." New collectors are coming into the hobby all the time, I see this especially at the many shows I attend.

I had a customer come up to me at a show in New Jersey about five months ago who wasn't familiar with any of the manufacturers, he was a WWII reenactor who was at the hall because his son had a little league game across the street and he wandered in after seeing the "toy soldier sale" sign out front.

To date, he has spent quite large sum of money on K & C items and never had the chance to buy WS 43, WS 70, WS71, etc, etc and has already indicated he wants the new King Tiger.

Short of paying a kings ransom on Ebay whenever a collector "cleans out his closet/storage bin/warehouse/airplane hanger" and puts stuff up on Ebay, he'd be out of luck................

Couldn't agree more!! I recently expanded to WWII and definitely appreciate having a chance to get the main vehicles without buying everything on the secondary market. As a manufacturer of collectibles you want to expand your market. Next on my list is a Sherman. While I like the one K&C has now, I am holding out for another version, so bring them on. Of course, you also have to mix in enough new stuff to not bore those have collected the line for years. You can't say Andy didn't push the envelope a bit with the guy relieving himself. And that King Tiger, you may have others, and it is very expensive, but man, that is a nice looking tank!!!

Andy,

I would like to thank you for bringing out this new King Tiger... I myself just began collecting K&C toy soldiers and I will back you up saying that my favorite tanks were tanks such as the Tiger I, the HellCat or Shermans. Being a young (23yrs) new collector I have not had the chance to purchase many tanks such as a Tiger I, HellCat or Sherman. As of now I don't have a King Tiger due to the fact that anyone I could get my hands on is for the most part way over priced due to the fact they have all been retired for a while now.

If I may suggest as a new collector my number 1 piece I would like to see and purchase is a Tiger I in light grey similar in size to the AK Tiger I. All of the other Tiger I tanks were produced a significant time ago therefore any new collector is unable to get their hands on Tiger I from either the Battle of the Bulge or Normandy which are two of the most popular battles and i believe the two battles that newcomers look at collecting first.

Thanks you and hopefully this helps you get across the fact that new collectors are looking for some of the old things. If you would like to know anything else a 23 yr old would like to see produced let me know and I would be more than happy to give you suggestions for what new comers might be looking for.

Thank you,
Tiger Tank

OK - to save everyone the time to figure out where the "out of the box" comment came from - it was me.

Oh Ron you naughty boy!! No 30th Anniversary article for you now!!

I think the correct word everyone is looking for is "heretic" - "Someone who disobeys or disbelieves fundamental tenets of a religion they claim to belong to". http://www.allwords.com/word-heretic.html

If they admitted to the offense they were typically burned at the stake after intense torture. Seems a fitting punishment to me.:D

I'll second that! lets put it to a vote of the members of the church of King and countryism!

Bless me father for I have sinned
It has been about 6 weeks since my last confesssion.
I have blasphemed against K and C.
Well my son that is a very serious sin indeed.
You will have to do a great deal of penance for that.
No more posting Napoleon all over the forum for at least a month.
Oh father it was a moment of weakness.
We are all poor sinners my child some of us just worse than others
I now absolve you form your sins

Now make an act of contrition
Go in peace my son.

TRUE......and True again.....Amen

Andy-you do great work !! Keep it up !!!!

You continue to upgrade the vehicles & figures which keeps the collector (me)happy.

I think K&C is the best company for me and my addiction.

Too long for a name. How about KCics or KCians for the adherents...and as a religion KCianity.
:D

KCianity it is! :D

and i nominate Brad as our chief KCianity inquisitor. ;)

what about non-believers in KCianity?

infidels sounds too extreme.

Polyatheists.. that's a good start..;)

Polyatheist is a good start but still too long...how about Ktheist?

Hey guys, we just started a dictionary of terms:

Religion: KCianity
Adherents: KCians
Non-believers: Ktheist
Pope: PapaKC
Inquisitor: Papa DOKC

Uh-oh, look what I've started! I will be soon be excommunicated.

Kidding aside, K&C still is a great company that provides collectors quality and affordable models. Not to mention the countless hours of enjoyment i get from my KC collection (about $25K worth)

I guess, in between dispatches we get bored and engage in little fun and games.

Andy, i hope you are a good sport.

Mea culpa, mea culpa mea maxima culpa,

All good and fine, except I do like the term Polyathiest, now Andy needs to replace the windows in his office with Stainglass, but I draw the line at Kissing his ring at the West Coaster!!!!
