Lancer do you know what sets the Zulus and 24th foot came from? If not what you can do is log on to www.archive.org/index.php going to the search box and typing in www.trophyoftexas.com then going to the 2004 listing clicking on May 31 2004 which will open to the web site then click on to the Zulu War once open click on to where it says medal when will open to a listing of the Zulu War Set from which you can open pictures to various set so that you'll be able to tell what sets your figures come from allowing you to post the info and those reading this can follow the instuction to check out the figures your selling........The Lt.

Lt.- thanks for the info. i tried the links but mostly came up with "not archived" or no picture. still can't i.d. the hand to hand set. did note that the "incident at Isandlwana" set does not match up. wagon, soldier in wagon, and Zulu on wagon are correct but the Zulu sets up on front of the wagon, not the back. also the two foot figures are not the same. there must be variations. thanks for effort. -- lancer

Pictures help to sell Lancer.......The Lt.

Lt.,
Joe, thanks a bunch for the advise on the archives.org. Never knew you could research old website snapshots. I just did that with the old trophy website and they had great descriptions and some pictures for their stuff circa 2001.
Many thanks:) Mike
Lancer,
Where did you compile the unboxed guys from? Are you getting out of the hobby? Mike

Mike-- not getting out, just refocusing. will keep collecting KC WW2, JJD, and some KC crusaders. The glossies are going though. Most all my Trophy figures were bought years ago from a local dealer who worked out of his house and sold me figures in 2's and 3's. He must have broken up sets. At any rate, I never got any boxes. As a matter of fact, I just tonight realized I don't have any of the Zulu set boxes I thought I did. So it goes. Thanks for asking.--Al

Does anyone know the original Trophy of Wales website address?

Tom

Lt.-- thank you for all your efforts. That is the mystery hand-to-hand set I have. Thank you for posting the pics, I don't have a clue how to do it. Something of a techno-phobe I'm afraid. Appreciate the help.-- Al

Actually, here it is.www.trophyminiatures.co.ukCouldn't wait till morn. Mike

Mike and Tom I'm sure you've notice if you tried to connect to the site via the net it's not available. It can be reached thru the Archives but you'll find the archives of no help if your seeking photos..........The Lt.

Thanks Mike, Lt. I have an old trophy catalog as well as the MKL catalog, I just wanted to revisit the site. Boy, something about Trophy figures are still so appealing. I have some of the more intersting sets, but always on the lookout for others. Too cool.

Tom

If you're trying to connect to old sites no longer functioning there's a site called the way back machine, which allows you to connect with such sites. Don't know if it will work for Trophy but it might be worth a check.

Lancer,
Sorry about hijacking your thread, but it is so fun trying to find stuff! I'd PM you in a second on the Trophy stuff, but then I'd have duplicates!
Here's the old Trophy website catalog : http://www.trophyminiatures.co.uk I just put it through the archive like Joe pointed out and chose 2001(2000 under construct- 2003 and later not updated) They have a great little history and also a nice descript of each series and set. Like Joe said there is not a lot of pictures, but if you know you set # It's worth seeing what Len had to say about it. Is anyone doing a full catalog listing of Trophy's Zulu sets? Joe:rolleyes:
Mike

Mike-- no problem. Great to see all the interest and info that shows up. I love the Trophy figures I have, both Zulu and WW1 but there is no more room and I need the money to finance further purchases in my active collecting fields. -- lancer
