Does anyone know how the K&C WWII figures look with the Conte Diorama? More specifically im talking about the church that they have. Im just trying to get an idea if these two would work together and if so does anyone have any good pics?

Thank you,

Speaking from experience, all of the Conte foam pieces work extremely well with K & C; I have sold about ten of the churches and priories in my time as a dealer, all but one when to K & C collectors.

Their hedgerows, dragons teeth, bunkers, pillboxes, bridges and other battle damaged buildings work with K & C as well.

I will have quite a few Conte foam pieces on display in my rooms at Chicago, 5340 and 5342.............

Does anyone have pictures of this church with K&C figures standing around them?

I know Simon (Wraith) and John Adivari do (NJJA) as both collect K & C and both bought a church from me...........

I have always admired the Conte D-Day Church series and the price would not be to excessive compared to recent price increases. I wonder if Conte will issue any more? If not maybe another company could do something similar.

Yes i really think that someone within the K&C scale range would make a lot of money selling an item like a church. The Conte one looks really nice and is perfect for a dio which is why i wanted to see others thoughts on the sizes. So if anyone has any other input i would love to hear their thoughts.

Thank you,

Here ya go....

They work great together.

very nice Simon, did you make those buildings? They are nice...

Simon,
Thanks for posting the pictures; is that the CTS streetfront in the background next to the church?

Rod, those buildings are the Conte church and priory.

Agreed that his stuff was/is spectacular. He'd be smart to sell them seperately from the playsets, they are brilliant.

Several years ago at OTSN, he had a huge display in his rooms and next to the church was a beautiful rowhouse all rubbled out with courtyards and walls in the back, it was stunning.

It was part of D-Day set #8, which never saw the light of day; would LOVE to know where that mold is.......................

Nice work Simon. Simple but effective themes. The old Conte Buildings really work well don't they. Try some Build-A-Rama rubble in the streets and it will be perfect.

George,

Thanks for supplying me with my 'fix'! ;)
Yes, it is the CTS piece next to the Normandy house - needed to extend the street a little.

Rod, as George has said, Conte's work. I'm messing around with foam buildings but I got distracted and so have a couple of uncompleted projects sitting around at the mo.

Cheers Carlos. Next time I'm aloud to get my big toys out to play (for that, you can read - when the other 'arf goes away for a few days ), I'll do just that, and make a much bigger mess of the living room, debris n' all :).

Very nice seen you have there wraith. Love those old Falschimuager figures you have in your collection.

"Ask George (Warrior), he is the man for finding this type of scenery."

Thanks Louis, I'm like the Don Rickles character in "Kelly's Heroes", aka, "Crapgame", I can find you anything you need..........

Yeah George, but you have more hair, and a much less sarcastic personality (unless the person you are talking to has the initials J.G.)
