If I understood correct, Andy is working 9 months a head of releases...

This means that King & Country UK could give us at least a hint about next June releases...

Crimea? Or something else?

Special British WOII releases link to the end of war 65 years ago?

What will it be? :)

JPB

Ah but if K&C UK were to give us any info then they'd have to shoot us all!;)

However i do think June will be a superb month this year,i'm thinking April's dispatches will be a great one.;)

Rob

As a new collector of K&C's WW2 line, can someone enlighten me as how releases work? Do they have monthy press releases as to what one might expect to see? Thanks to any and all for your help. Looking foward to my new collecting hobby and 2009.:)

Yep they come out monthly and are called 'Dispatches'.Normally posted very first few days of each month and have all the upcoming info, they are eagerly anticipated each month....especially by me!;)

JPB and all Crimean fans!!

Yes i could..................!!!!

To be honest we are looking at the world economy very hard at the moment!!

December was a record month for K&C UK and went against all the grain of the world financial decline...............however this does not mean that we as a family business can maverickly venture on with a mass of projects with out any concern.

We have been speaking with Andy and his team and we will air on the side of caution for the first couple of months in 2009 before we financial commit ourselves to the June release............however this does mean that we miss a window for June and the June Crimean could be pushed back to July / August.

What everybody has to release is that we have to pay for ALL the Crimean that is produced up front (as does K&C HK) to the factory. This obviously effects K&C UK cash flow and as such we have to be sure that we can accommodate it.

I would like to strongly point out though that this is NOT the end of the Crimean project, in fact we are only just warming up. But as you can appreciate it is the sensible companies that will still be around at the end of the year!!

So much so i have an operation at the end of Jan but i am trying to work out when i can get to HK for my first of many meetings with Andy and his team to discuss the next release! However to disappoint the Crimean fans i don't have yet a plan of what that release will be............and no Mister Dave thats not a prompt for you to pipe up with want you want!!! :D

Well - Tony

I believe there are still a few of us who need to catch up with what is already out there ! Now is a good time for break - IMHO. :D

Good Luck to you guys - you are right to wait and see how tough the "economic rapids" are going to be. I don't think anyone knows quite yet ?

Ron

So true. we are riding and all time high with K&C UK and the Show and my wifes business is the busiest it has ever been.....go figure however not a time to be complacent and 'scoff' at the economic world!

yes a very good time to catch up............unless you have not got the CRW24SL then best get a shifty on there as they are going very well!!!

Hello Tony,

I have no idea what you are referring to in your last paragraph, however, since you mentioned it............:D

Sounds like a possible delay may be in the cards for Summer 09's releases though. As Ron has already pointed out, the upside of this is to give me a bit more time to pick up the half a dozen or so additions from the current inventory before anything else comes on line. BTW, it looks like TF is going to need a resupply on CRW022 soon.

Thanks for the udates, Tony, and in all seriousness good luck with the surgery....hopefully it's nothing too worrisome.

Cheers,
MD

Hi Tony,

thanks for replying. I surely understand the economics and risks of the current situation.

It's also nice for your business that you don't have to order 9 months before... At least you can align the order to the situation.

Goodluck with the surgery.

Guys

Thanks for the good wishes for the up and coming op!! should have had it in November and sooooo glad i moved it as the Business was mad.

I am having an Umbilical Hernia repaired from the coughing from the Pneumonia i had last year. i thought it was a quick key hole op but its not!! its a full blown 3 - 4 inch slice all the way through the stomach muscles thorough to the stomach!! the op is easy, so says my consultant he said its the 2 - 6 weeks it is going to take to recover after!! hence the issue of when i can get out to HK!! but i am sure with some great war movies i can endure the pain for the first week in my bed after the op!

once again Thanks Guys

Tony,

Good luck with the op, I just had a triple in november, but I got lucky and had the "scopy" version, so final appt to make sure all is well is tomorrow! Take it easy, it gets better every day, you will have to with the full slice! Godspeed to your recovery.

Hi Tony

We could do with a break ... to catch up. Must also make room for the beautiful Lancers and upcoming Continentals ;).

I wish you a speedy recovery from your coming procedure. Tough having to spend time on your back ... but sometimes the wunderful nurses make up for it.

One consolation Tony,if you are even able to attend the March show you'll have to let Dave do all the lifting;)

Tony,

I did my part to help stimulate the K&C UK economy. With an order I placed last night with our host and another I made a few weeks ago, I will soon own 22 of the 24 Crimean sets. I'll get the other two next month. I got a little behind on my collecting while I was in Iraq so I have some catching up to do.

By the way the Crimean Strictly Limited is a great set. Well done as are all of this superb line.

Godspeed on your surgery.

Wow, nice order. That is going to be a joyous experience receiving that package later in the week. Welcome back too, BTW.
