Well for me K&C have nailed it again. There is just something uniquely addictive about their figures, and these new D Day figures really bring that home. Now this is an appreciation of their latest releases on the K&C thread,so i am not mentioning other companies as i do not want to start any conflict on here,we've had enough of that of late.

For me what happens is this.I look at figures from other producers and i think wow, these are very nice and i could be tempted here. Now and again i will give in.However with K&C its a much more instant thing, looking at the D Day figures this morning it is not a case of if but of when.I think it is their own unique style that does this, they manage to bring realism, quality together to great effect.Check out the guy being attended by the medic,he looks in a bad way indeed.

I just wanted to raise with you all the quality of these latest releases, when we feel something is not good enough or we have been short changed we are free to raise it,that is our right. But in the same breath when we think something is right on the money then we are also at liberty to say that too.And i think here with Normandy K&C have nailed style and quality, nice one i say.:)

I absolutely agree with you Rob. We should indeed be free to wave the flag and express our appreciation of well produced figures and by the same token, also be free to state our dislike/distaste for certain figures as well. After all, the reason this forum exists is to promote discussion, is it not?.
I'm glad you got your wish for more D-Day items and am sure you'll enjoy having them in your collection.

Cheers

Thanks Harry and i agree. This forum is all about free discussion and many and varied opinions.I hope we can also agree that each individual producers thread is a place for the celebration of that product and not the promotion of other products,if we can all agree on this i'm sure it would cut down on some arguments around here. What do you reckon H?:)

I agree with you 100% Rob! :)

Rob, you've nailed my feelings about K & C, not always accurate, but always appealing. And yes, as much as I like a good "debate" on forums, the Company "A" v Company "B or Era "A" v Era "B" threads nearly always result in a slag fest.

Thanks Oz,i just really appreciate the look of K&C figures, they continue in my view to produce the best out there.

Congratulations Rob. I am very happy you got what you were hoping for with this release.:D Enjoy your celebration. As to your other question, I would reckon not myself.;)

Thanks Bill,i appreciate your post.I merely put forward a suggestion that i thought might help lower the amount of arguments. However i really can't be bothered that much,my thread is to celebrate the product of my favourite company and thats all.Cheers Bill.:)How are those new Naps looking to you mate?

Rob

Ill be all over the LCA & brits, as soon as i finish getting my market garden boys all together.

You are right not to be distracted from your appreciation. It looks like your interests have been especially well served by this release.;):D

The new Naps seem a nice change from the regular focus and the colors are nice. I think the horse is quite nice and it is always pleasant for me to see one without a gapping mouth. The horse's leg position looks a tad awkward but they certainly can place their hooves that way at a walk to halt or the reverse, especially when they are excited. I think this is a nice addition to the K&C Napoleonic line but not as much so as the D-Day additions are to that line. I guess your thread line says it all and they either strike a cord relatively or not. I suppose for me it is just as well that I am not too tempted given budget limitations but I am sure they will fit well for others.;) Enjoy those D-Day lads and that fine watercraft mate.:D

Well my equine friends contribute greatly to my budgetary limitations:eek: but they are worth it for me. Yes indeed, the temptations here far exceed the capabilities. It is amazing how many great choices abound, with seemingly more all the time.:D

I think K&C has improved a bit on having variation of posts in their Dragoons but forgot to give us a bugler.

This is very true. Can i just add something else.I meant to title this thread 'its all about THE style'.By putting just style i did not intend it to mean K&C had style and no one else does!.

Yep lots of choice not enough money Bill;)

Hi Rob,
those British Troops along with the landing craft are a beautiful addition for the D-Day collector and will enable great displays when charging against the German defenses along with their American Allies.
Good to see that the British forces are served well in recent releases with the latest Eigth Army sets and now these folks.
Bet the long night waits were worth it, weren't they ? :D
