Just lately it feels like we are back in the Golden age of collecting,we have had some stunning releases from all of the major producers and some of the newer players too.I am already one happy collector as yesterday i picked up K&C's superb LCA and British infantry,i knew they would be good but they are even better than i thought.

So after a great week in my collecting year i've got to ask What's next?!.What do you think guys, any surprises do we reckon for next month, maybe something of an Italian nature?.

I wondered who would be the first to bring up the July Dispatches. I wasn't wrong. :D (Yes Rob, it was a setup :p)

No dispatch frenzy like last month. Cannot imagine a Dispatch of WW2 pieces generating the excitement of London and K&C's Dispatches of WW2 pieces the past two dispatches. So I am dampening my expectations and will just sit back and see what comes.

I was going to say, how in the world are we going to afford all the fantastic things that have already come out, and people are already looking out for K&C's next releases. Frankly, I hope that nothing K&C releases this month have anything to do with the areas I collect.

I can't buy anymore having committed to all of the new Figarti pieces and the rest of the K&C LCA landing series, Cromwell and Atlantic wall. A few months of no WW2 releases is fine with me. Isn't August and September slow for major WW2 pieces?

Rob - you remember Mr. Creosote from Monty Python - the Meaning of Life. Go on, have a mint, how can it hurt - just one little mint. That is what we are on the verge of.

Quoting Monty Python on the forum results in major infractions and the unexpected appearance of the "Spanish Inquistion" which no-one ever expects.

Well, survived the tornado (a rare occurence in these parts) Hope I can still afford whatever will be coming out. :D

I agree, lately if you're a WWII collector its been a return to the fantastic "golden age" period with so many awesome pieces recently released. My sentiment is with Louis however, I hope the eras I'm into aren't showing up for awhile. Space and money are definite problems for me because there is so much I want. Looks like I'm reluctantly going to have to sell some of my treasures soon to make room.........so hard to do!

This is indeed the Golden Age of collecting Rob!! I must echo the sentiments of Louis and Terry because I too have committed to buy the Figarti Forefly, winter prime mover and 88, and have still yet to acquire K & C's incredible looking (though I have yet to see it in person) landing craft, not to mention the figures to go with! Oh, I also am down for one of Figarti's new 3 man British infantry sets to set up w/ the Firefly! With all that being said, and the subsequent and due beating I will be taking from the wife, I feel that Andy will be releasing something I have been waiting for.......a bunch of Templars!! At the Westcoaster he mentioned them, and I think the time has arrived, especially given the sneak preview he provided of the Crusader being dressed for battle! To make room for everything and to replace funds, I may be relegated to selling off older pieces. But I will try to make things work before going that route. But that's what I foresee with the July dispatches; a whole new batch of Crusaders, a large majority of which will be Knights Templar!! I almost forgot....the Atlantic wall set may demand my "attention" as well!

And now for something completely different.

It's not dead. It's a Norweigen Blue. That's how they rest. It's just resting on it's perch and pining for the fijords of Norway.

It's not resting. It's dead! You've nailed it's feet to the perch.!!

Well let's not forget about the mystery surprise to be announced on June 3oth, I'm hoping Andy and co. are coming out with a new Hanomag of some sort, I'm sure with all these other great items that have come out lately K&C will be bringing something out just as well...Sammy

With all these WWII British LCA's and Landing Troops - the new Cromwell - new German vehicles coming out - new Civil War Calvary figures - new Napoleonic Foot Dragoons ... on and on and on .....

It only makes sense that the Market Garden Range will be canceled now ?

... wait for it ....

 :) ;) :D   :p

You are right, there is so much stuff out now or coming out in the near future that looks fantastic. I only wish I had the cash to buy everything I want. Whats even worse is I think I'm getting the ACW itch. 3-4 months ago I got the Rev. War itch and it was not to cheap. My wife will kill me if she finds out I'm about to add another line.

At least you'd die happy!;):D
