I have tried your method of painting Jeff and it is quite effective also. I am very pleased with the results and I had very little to touch up.
My only to problems were
1. Have only 2 horses to paint, it takes along time as the gloss paint takes forever to dry
2. No green was needed![]()

Back onto this painting project for a while. Michel has opted for the grey version of the limber and gun, don’t know what was wrong with the green option? But to make a contrast against the elephant colour I added dark blue to the dark grey to get the colour you see here. Limber first and once dried the wheels will be painted the same colour then the steel work etc added.
Jeff
Just an update, I've run out of dark grey for the gun carriage....so it will be a couple more days before I manage to aquire some
....stay tuned.
Jeff
Hee hee hee. I've got loads of dark grey.![]()
I told you I should have left it as grey primer!
Jeff
Jeff,
Don't get me wrong, this MMM is top-notch quality and looks fantastic. The ones I got from down under look like they were done by my 10 year-old(s little sister. The castings are horrible, especially after waiting eight months to get them!
I'll be watching Your Eminence at work!

I did that Jeff and painted the grey parts with clear nail varnish to make them glossy. Didn't turn out to bad either.
The gun barrel and breech etc will be painted a steel colour and the parts such as the elevating wheel etc will be more of a brass colour.
Jeff
That's a beast and a half. Great job Jeff![]()
