Not to break up the WWII party, but we make another range of figures called Napoleon's Europe and its latest creations, NAP0030 Napoleon and the French Staff and NAP0030a Guard Chasseur Scout are both now in stock and shipping next business day. All pre-orders will be shipped immediately. We apologize to those who have wanted this set for a year now and thank you for your patience - we hope you'll agree that the set was worth the wait. Thanks to all of you who have ordered the set and for all of the kind words said about it here and elsewhere.

Sorry for the intrusion with this housekeeping item, you may now return to your regularly scheduled WWII speculating...;)

Regards,

Matt

Matt,

The set was spectacular!! It really came out perfect! My thanks to George for bringing it to the Gettysburg Show.

I would agree, it is a super nice set, so is the Russian Command set. If I could buy it all, both would be on my list!

Matt,

I received my French staff set yesterday. WOW!!!! It is everything I could have hoped for. This set is the finest Napoleon’s staff set available. It will become the standard to which all future Napoleon sets will be judged. My next objective is to order 4 or 5 single figures of the Guard Chasseurs, NAP0030a. These will form the security ring which Napoleon had around his person at all times.

Well worth the wait.

Received my staff set yesterday! Thanks Matt for a a beautiful set of figure's couldn't be more impressed with it. :)

I just received the set today

It's my favorite toy soldier set ever! I dreamed of making a diorama of Napoleon and staff for a long long long time!

The scale proportion is better in my opinion... the figures are 'fatter' than previous releases.

The packaging is much much improved, up to standard with K&C. For the first time my figures have 'zero mortality'

pics to come soon (when I am less busy with making money for toy soldiers)

PS opening the boxes tonight cheered me up from my usually highly stressful work! Thanks Matt for making historically accurate well detailed and realistic looking figures second to none in the market! (I only wish they could be cheaper)

Got the package yesterday and opened it today - high class; from the box, the packaging to the stunning figures themselves!

This is truly a fantastic set! The sculpting is oustanding, the painting is very very neat! Great work.

As noted in another thread, the packaging of FL has improved very much from earlier releases. I hate nothing more when I open a box and swords are bent, colour is off etc etc. I noted improvement on the British Guards already, some minor issues with the samurais (swords) ....but this is top notch.

Thanks Matt! ...for dragging me into naps

Yep, it was literally a dragging...I don't want to redescribe my previous collectionnitus (I did that in one of my earlier posts..), but one day I contacted Matt as I read in a toy soldier magazine that FL would also do Samurais at some point in time...Matt thought it was good to buy in the meantime the one or other figure from the Naps...yeah, the one or the other ;)

Anyway, Matt is a top guy and that definately plays a part as well!

And again I must say: WOW!! My little daughter (7 years old) gave me a present on my birthday (or was it been the result of an order of myself...?): The Emperor and Stuff at Borodino. So fantastic!! A must-have for any serious Napo collector!

I thought I would re-visit this thread to ask if FL will eventually release Napoleon as his Marshalls as indivduals and/or in the case of the Emperor at least, different poses? As it is we have a seperate Murat and Cambronne.

Well, we won't release the sculpts that are part of NAP0030 Napoleon and Staff as separate figures as that is a special collector's set of 200 and that's it.

However, we will most likely do various personalities if and when they are appropriate and an integral part of a release as was the case with NAP0061 Murat and and NAP0100 Cambronne or as part of our Mounted Personalities series. Let's face it, First Legion will most definitely do a mounted Napoleon at some point!

Best,

Matt

Well when you get to one of the Prussian or Austrian encounters you could also have Napoleon on foot dressing down one or more of his Marshalls.;):D
