Well how many collectors out there help each other out.I am saying like trading or selling items not over the top to each other.I have been lucky here with Brett at The Military Workshop helping me out on many occasions and friends like OZ Digger trading and selling retired items to me at reasonable prices to help me get some pieces hard to get.And I am about to sell some retired items to a young combat soldier for a price a little less than I bought them for.Are there little net works out there helping each other out across the world or am I just lucky here.Simmo.

I would say you are lucky, but there most certainly are networks of friends who help one another. In my case, I have not purchased items from friends, but my friends have been a significant help in locating figures I wanted, identifying figures that mystified me, and sharing information regarding the history that specific figures represented. Friends have helped me expand my knowledge, develop new skills, and enhance my creativity. The benefits, friendship, and warmth my friends have provided far outweigh any savings I may have achieved by purchasing items from them at a reduced cost. I hope I have been able to repay them in kind.

HI Pat ,

You are very right my friend.I too have learned more and more about this hobby and military history from collectors from around the world.I can only afford to get one Item at a time and not others to sell at later dates.Others can afford doing this and good luck to them.But sometimes a friend has something I would like and does a deal with me so both are happy happy joy joy.And sometimes they hold pieces for me and let me pay them off as The Military Workshop does. This helps the industry and helps us guys who can't keep up dollar wise.Simmo.

Don't forget to bring those figures in !
I was able to get a missing figure, the Iwo Jima Japanese General, to complete my leaders collection thanks to Todd (Rethymno) spotting one on Ebay several months after I had mentioned I was looking for him. Seller was a Treefrogger.

Lucky you i had to beg Brett for a calender............,joking yeah Brett has been unreal a great help and mate.Ozdigger is good for a laugh and a bargain so where pretty organised here in "GODS" country...........

I've had help from collectors on the Forum finding hard to find pieces and was able to purchase them at reasonable prices. And I like to return the favour by helping Treefroggers find pieces they are looking for.

When I was in the hospital last year I had all kinds of things sent to me from forum members. People have given me things and I have given them things too. when I can. I love to return the favor so to speak. I have been certainly blessed by the people here and the wealth of friends this forum has brought to me. I have come to believe that "Toy Soldier People " are the best.
Also really lucky that some of my really good friends(the Halls)are toy soldier dealers and really good company! Invite your dealer to dinner today!
