Interesting Warbird this one......

Thanks, Raymond.:)

Just as I was thinking how nice they were and why you hadn't mentioned them before, I noticed they weren't polystone  But they do look good. :)

I'm going for the Gloster. Too good to pass up. The Buffalo did see some small service in the Desert and would have preferred but it's not in Desert markings unfortunately.

I think the Buffalo was more prominent in the Pacific at the start of the war. The Dutch had them there too.

This is correct. Buffalo very much more prominent in the PTO and was used by the US Navy as well. In the ETO it was the Finns that made the best use of the Buffalo, against the Russians. The Buffalo was very well thought of by the Finns and had a good kill ratio. Go figure. -- lancer

I did not mean to omit the use of the Buffalo by the USMC in the defense of Midway. They suffered heavy loss.

Two very nice looking aircraft and certainly interesting examples of the underdogs of air combat.

I received my Gloster Tuesday and here are some photos :)

Nice Brad, congrats on grabbing one.

Is that a Beaufighter in the background? If so any chance of a pic or two?
