Do you own this fine looking set? If so I look forward to any photos. It was for sale a while ago here in the states at $125.

Thanks,

Randy

No it was sold by the curator of the Toy Soldier Museum

http://www.the-toy-soldier.com/home.cfm?

I tried linking to the set but it just links back to the home page. There are other Trophy sets there but I think most were sold a long time ago.

Martyn

Your assignment is to track down this set, add it to your own splendid museum and post it for all of us to enjoy!

Do not bother...I checked this set before and it was sold some time ago and others as well , a sale page was not updated in while. :(

Martyn knows this from what my post said but he has an unbelievable knack of finding Trophy sets:)

On a close look: a soldier in eBay set has a stick and in yours - a rifle. Which is correct one?
BTW square bases are relatively new in compare with early oval bases.

Martyn

Your set is the Zulu War version. The eBay set is Egypt/Sudan --I would say Tel-El-Kebir due to the red tunic and white helmet? The EBay version is wearing leggings/gaiters too.

Hi boerboy

The figure in the Ebay set appears to be from.............

EQ32 AMBULANCE PICKET LINE
or
EQ33 PONTOON WAGON unloading

As I don't have this set in the Egypt and The Sudan series I can't state categorically that this is the wrong figure for the set. He is carrying a whip, not a rifle, as per the figures in the two sets I mention above.

Hope this helps

Cheers

Martyn:)
