How does this sound?:)

We could maybe start up our own meetings every few years or something?:)

We could invite a few of the most favoured companies, Kng and Country, Figarti, Build-A-Rama, Britains to name but a few, and rent out a hall, or something somewhere and we could have it in a different country each year!?:)

America, Scotland, Canada, England, Ireland, Wales, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Holland, and country!:)

And maybe since it would be stictly Treefroggers, we could have special discounts at this meeting for companies, thus the reason I suggested every few years rather than annually!:)

Yeah you can all fly to Australia K+C and Figarti are closer to us,hows that for a idea?????

There is a small one like that in New York put on by Louis Badolato, Larry and a few others each January and it is often attended by several of the manufacturers.

The New York Symposium, hosted by Hans Hedrich, Larry Lo, Mark Hoffman and myself, is actually each early March (the weekend after the West Coaster). The manufacturers who have attended include Andy and Gordon Neilson of King & Country (all but one of the five years), Rick Wang and his wonderful dad from Figarti (twice), John Jenkins (twice) and Ken and Erika Osen of Britains and Hudson & Allen Studios. The froggers who have attended are too numerous to list here. This March will be the sixth Symposium.

and there are also the London shows and the Chicago shows where treefroggers get together.

We just need a Canadian location :D

I like the idea of meeting at shows. I do that now with two online figure groups I'm a part of.

We post a thread online of who's going to a show. Then, one person makes a sign and agrees to stand at a certain place at a certain time (usually next to the registration table at noon). We all meet, get a group photo (which we then post online on the show thread - with names below it so others can see who's who), exchange pleasantries, and maybe agree to see each other later or at the hospitality room. It all takes 20 minutes!! One of the members here could make a name tag template we could all download and wear at the show.

I think having our own meeting may involve too much logistics, and the issue of where to hold it will always leave someone with a knot in their shorts.

We do a similar thing in London,we don't use a sign but we just all head to the bar at 12.30;)

We do now, although on the first occasion, we asked for a volunteer to sit down at a table with 14 empty G&T glasses, so we'd know where to congregate.

Can't remember who the volunteer was though....

On the other hand that might fit in rather well; there are usually quite a few of those here as it is.;):D

How did the G&T glasses come to be empty?

Someone spiked my 14 glasses of evian, so I can't remember. :)

Simon needs to remain sober at all times,he is like a sensible Devil on my shoulder at the shows, reminding me that I still have to pay the Bills!:D

Luckily, your cards are maxed out by 7.32am and I can then hit the bar, conscience intact.;)

That would be great, someone can maybe do a teeshirt with the Treefrog logo on the front and on the back write "Treefrog Treasures Toy Soldier Forum World Tour" and beneath that, you coud list all the tour stops, America, Scotland, Canada, England, Ireland, Wales, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Holland, Argentina, Yugoslavia, Costa Rica, Russia, Lithuania, and so on.

And maybe there will be Treefrog Treasures Forum groupies who would hang out at the hotels to get a glimse of their favorite TFT forum member.

This idea really has legs; oh and the discount thing would be a big hit too............................huge in fact.

Sort of like at the airport when the limo driver stands there with a sign that says "Constanza" on it so you know which driver is yours right?

I can just see Jazzeum standing in the lobby of the show in Hackensack with a big sign that says "TREEFROGGERS" on it.

Whatta ya say Brad, you down for this?
