Interesting K&C vehicle on Ebay (1 Viewer)

I'm sort of new at this but haven't seen one of these listed on Ebay before.

Mark,
these are the very rare first series LAH Staff cars, here are pics of Hitler and Himmler. Hitlers you would think would be more rare b/c it contains a pose of Hitler not available anywhere else, but who knows where the bidding will end up. There are 4 total - Himmler, Hitler, Mussolini and Goering. Numbers LAH 17 thru LAH 20.

I kept Goering for my Luftwaffe dio, but I sold Mussolini, and will sell Hitler and Himmler (Himmler is on Changing Guard Auctions now).

It's LAH 17, see here. Can go for big money. I'd be leery of this seller. Seems to have a lot of negatives. Also, I always worry about non-toy soldier sellers selling toy soldiers; they don't really know how to pack them.

I've purchased from these guys before without any problem, actually well-packed. But because it is an Ebay consignment co., you never know who will be packing, so yes it is a gamble.

I just received a box of Del Prado figures from a different seller in Canada (Ebay sale); none of the figures were in boxes, just loosely wrapped in bubble wrap. Of course the figures slipped out, banged around...there were bent and broken pieces (the bottom of the box was littered with them), and of course enormous paint loss on all of them.

When I contacted the seller, she replied, "no problem; just send them back; I know how to fix these." All I could think was: what will the next buyer end up getting? I am at least confident in my own repairs and the cost of shipping back and forth to Canada negates the value of any refund...so...sometimes it is better just to write off the loss. I might have felt differently if the figures were higher quality. Most sellers are pretty good at representing their figures accurately and packing well.

Nicholas,

Did you mean this particular isoldit or another in the chain?

I am with Brad, if you read thru the feedback, you see a pattern. At the least, this seller is a junk merchant, at the worst, well, fill in the blanks. I can only imagine the pack job on this one. My bet is Mercedes in half, paint loss unimaginable on figures.

I still think it is worth taking a chance on this rare item. The seller does have a 3 day unconditional return policy, so if it were to arrive damaged, you would be covered.
