This is the same piece used for the original Rough Riders, correct? I have one of them too, nice piece, enjoy!

Tom

It's a different item Tom. Are you thinking of the DWT. This was made of the same material as the old NV.

Not sure, I don't have an item number, but I have an item that looks pretty close to this one that was used for the Rough Rider photo shoots and I thought it was this. Has some weight to it.

What item number is the DWT?

Tom

The DWT doesn't have a specific number. It's just called DWT.

Whats the difference between both sets are they the same except made from different materials, i cant find any pictures of DWT set
Regards Scott

SP1 is a great piece. I just looked at an old K&C UK pricelist from 2000 and it was listed at £89.95 (same as the early winter Tiger). I remember looking at the piece at K&C UK's old premises and thinking it was a bit pricey and I didn't have the room to display a piece that size (20"x20")!!! Where's that time machine when you need one?

I ended up going for NV6 instead (Shop House with Backyard) which still has price of place in my study, along with some early Normandy sets.

Well done Scott and enjoy!!!

That is great news Scott, good for you.

I've had two of these; one of which I picked up at the Fall In wargaming show in Gettysburg three years ago.

An attendee asked me if I buy as well as sell K & C and I said sure and he said he had the Stalingrad strongpoint still sealed in the box out in his car. He brought it in, we worked out a deal and I had it for about six months, sold it at the Chicago show two years ago.

Wish I hadn't as it is/was a great piece, a work of art really................

Thanks Guys
Looking forward to getting this on Saturday along with a second winter hanomag ,panther and motorcycle and sidecar:D:D
Regards Scott

Scott,
Congrats on finding one of these. There were only 150 made. There are no certificates - the original brown box had a handwritten number - ex: 135 of 150. It is a fun piece to have and can be used for various scenarios besides WW2. Enjoy your new find. All the best, Lawrence

I had one with my Rough Rider Collection and traded the DWT for all of the SCOTS GREY FIGURES when they came out with another dealer - I thought it was a good trade. I later sold the Rough Riders for more Napoleonics !

I didn't realize that there were only 135 made - but, I still do love my SCOTS GREY CHARGING HORSEMEN !! :D

Ron,
Don't want to create confusion, but I was referring to SP-01 and not DWT - two different animals. With SP-01, the piece was displayed in K&C's brochure with the Stalingrad series - the WS German forces in winter and RA Russian forces. There were only 150 of the SP-01 made. The number 135 was used to provide an example of what was written on the original boxes - where in this case, Scott had no. 135 out of 150. With DWT, the item was initially displayed with the Roughriders. I do not know how many of these were produced. Hope this clears things up as this is confusing stuff for a Napoleonic collector :)

LoL - Larry ... you have to talk with Napoleonic Collectors really slow :p :D

I misunderstood which you were referring to - I have seen the SP01 only in K&C printed materials. The DWT is a large piece and really nice - we should ask Andy how many of those were made ??

Ron,

Heard that about Napoleonic collectors:D So, I figure pictures would be helpful as well:)

First is SP-01 with the Stalingrad series
