What in Gods name is a Dragon3? I have never heard of this vehicle, and certainly never seen any reference to it in any K&C price list, flyer or catalogue.

I have never heard of this and if Louis hasn't heard of it, well, enough said.

yes ,shame on you for asking :p

Louis is pretty much the authority on what K & C made so if he hasn't heard of it I don't think it was ever made.

Moreover, no such vehicle appears in any of the brochures so if it was made (doubtful), it was a one off.

I talked to Harvey this morning. He happened to see the reference on a website (but then lost the link) and it apparently may have looked like a bren gun carrier in desert colors. If so, that would probably answer the question.

If this Dragon3 is a Bren Gun Carrier in Desert Camouflage, then yes, K&C made about 5 of them. There are photos of mine on the thread with my collection. I have never heard of it referenced as a Dragon3 before.

many thanks for the responses on my question about the dragon 3,particular thanks to Brad for his phone call and for all his help with my "questions"I finally did get word that the Dragon 111(roman numerals) was the term attached to the1940 version of the British bren gun carrier. It is as a matter of fact offered by another high end metal toy manufacturer under that name,The image i saw must have been the K&C desert version of that 1940 bren gun carrier. The label was obviously used by a Brit used to the Dragon terminology.thanks again.

P.s. i wont even ask if that particular vehicle is available.i know the answer:NO

They used Bren Gun carriers in a variety of roles including dragging around a light canon and limber and flame thrower versions, so theres two links to the name at least :)
