Almost one month from now, start June 11 to July 11 2010. As we have more and more people from other countries here on the forum, I would like to ask you guys what is going to be your prediction for the World Cup of Soccer 2010 Final?


If I can rephrase, I will ask who is going to face Brazil on the final.... :D:eek:

Love it to be England but I'd say Spain.

FIFA has set it up so that Brasil could conceivably play Spain assuming they each win their groups. However, if England wins their group at some point they would have to face Brasil before the final. On the other hand if they come in second in their group, then conceivably they could face Brasil in the final.
 
Honestly, this is going to be difficult to guess, I don’t know about Brasil, this year they are playing weird, plus they have a difficult group with Portugal and Ivory Cost....In other hand, Spain are playing with the same team since 2007 and they are young and GOOD...

We have to wait. To see.

I think Spain, however they do have their off days (USA last year) and so I think it is a pretty open tournament.

Its not hard my friend to see who you like ;) I liked that you changed your icon to show support of your team for WC2010 :) Can I ask what are your thoughts about Dunga not playing Ronaldinho :eek::confused: I would like to hear from a fan of the team . Do you think its something personal between them ?
I have been off the blood pressure medication for two years but I can tell you I will not be taking a reading until after its all over :) All the Best Gebhard
 
Gebhard my friend, we can discuss about this for the all day, but I will try to tell you what I am thinking (sorry for the English)

Dunga was an excellent and hard worker defender; he was the captain of Brasil in 1994 USA WC. At the time, no many players played in Europe, but now among the 23 players called for SA 2010 only three players play in the National league in Brazil. The rest plays in Italy, Spain and German.
Brazil also was known as an offensive team that never had a good defence line but for the last 3 years, Dunga is trying to develop a European style of futebol, very defensive, and without offend my Europeans fellas, UGLY style of play that does not reflected the our way of play. Nevertheless, it is working, since Dunga is the coach Brazil has won every competition and qualified three rounds in advance for the WC. Today Brazil has one of the best defensive line in all time, with the best keeper from Inter de Milan, Julio Cesar, nice defenders like Lucio, Juan , but the midfield and the attack is very average-poor...something that was a trade mark of Brazil the ATTACK..... is not that good today, I can’t see Robinho do much (I do hope I am wrong)

About Ronaldinho: IMO he should be there for sure.
Brazil has not a good Mid-field, someone who can organize and prepare the strikers and in the same time become a striker himself, he is the kind of player who you just have to unleashed on the field, if you try to tell him what to do is not going to work, and this was the problem of Ronaldinho in the national team....

Now, one week from the start we can only pray and hope that we will add a sixth star on the left chest of the canary yellow shirt.

Argentina will win the cup for sure.

Just look at the players like Messi,Milito,Samuel,Tevez,.....onl ybad thing is a Maradona as a coach but he is born under the lucky star!

Anyway Argentina will win but i hope my country Slovenija will go to the next round.
Slovenija have no specific game,but we are destruct of other games,we can easy developed on others game an ddestruct their game.We almost never get a goal,we get only 4 in the qualifications....
When we defence we do that with 11 players but when we attack we never attack with 11 players we attack with 5 maybe but we still score a goal,.....we do not play beautyfull football but we are very hard to beat,we sure will be no outsiders!
We are very strong spirit team,with great support of a fans,songwriters,...and the players feel that.We are a small nation of two million people with a short independence but still in this 20 years of independence it is our second world cup and with completely other players than in th efirst world cup,...so people ask us where we get new players all the time an dwe do not have big name football clubs,only big heart!

Its not hard my friend to see who you like No choice, I am Brazilian and for us there are sports and there is FUTEBOL or soccer....
