This is my generic attempt to capture some of the iconic images of D-Day.
:)
This was my first foray into K and C's WWII shtick...

Outstanding pics of your diorama. I'm always impressed how well the old and new K&C pieces work together. Wish I had picked up a Hellcat, it even has my favourite number on it!

Dear "DJ66":

I especially like the photo showing the water by the boat, it looks like the real thing!

Thanks guys,
The shot was a happy accident of me trying to get the effect of the waves, crashing over the G.I.s, in the opening of Private Ryan.

Here are a couple more closeups, not nearly as good, but in the same vein, I hope...

Very impressive dioramas

I wish I had the room to do a D-DAY display - but currently we have several Battles occurring right now from 1801 - 1815 that are taking up display space :D

Very impressive series of shots. A really nice collection and what is obviously a very nice room you have them displayed in. Nice job all around. -- Al

The middle photo with the landing craft about to hit the beach with a little bit of what some would say is blurred is IMO excellent and evokes a real sense authenticity. If that had been in B&W it could have passed for the real thing

I like the way you think...
