This diorama is made up of several toy soldier or military miniatures manufacturers. As I have been at nearly 100% a K&C buyer since 1999 and as diorama does include one set from K&C I am opting to post photos of my Battle of Gettysburg with the CSA forces about to reach their "High Water Mark" on 3 July 1863 at "The Angle" of the Union lines at K&C's section @ The Forum. I trust I will not get "demoted" to buck Private for this, ha, ha. Prior to mid 2006 all my Battle of Gettysburg sets were made by Trophy Miniatures of Wales. Then in 2006 I sold off all my Trophy sets, EXCEPT for keeping one most noteable set that "I just had to keep". Since the mid 2006 revising of this diorama most of the sets are made by Britains, Conte & Frontline Figures. Can anyone find the sole single figure set made by K&C? Diorama is displayed on a wall shelve at 24 x 80 inches.

I shall not spill the beans.:D:p

That is a great display. Where did you get that very nice scenic background?

Dear "wds0855":

I got the background sheets from from JG Miniatures (John Gittins of UK is the owner) via my local toy soldier store. Yes, backgrounds of one kind or other makes for a better display. Thanks for your inquiry.

Nice diorama Gary, you do a very good job of blending the bases into the groundwork, very realistic looking that way as a result.

Like the size and scope of it; the only thing missing is the Iron Brigade sitting dead center in the middle waiting to stop the attack.

They were so badly mauled during the fighting on the first day that they were in no condition to stop anything by that point.

First Brigade, First Division, First Corps, the cream of the Union Army...........

Gary, I enjoy anything ACW and this I enjoyed seeing very much. Very nicely done.
:) Mike

A very nice collection of ACW figures. I love the way you have used various manufacturers products to tell your story. Will you be adding more figures in the future?

Dear "Warrior":

Thanks for your kind comments about this diorama. When I first started a diorama of the ACW Battle of Gettysburg back in circa 1996 I had all Trophy Miniatures sets, namely the large limited edition sets of "Holding the Line at Cemetery Ridge", "Pickett's Immortal Charge" (or something like that) and "Union Gun at the Gallup"). I later added some Frontline Figures (FF) CSA Infantry attacking sets & some Fusiler Miniatures infantry & artillery and a Tradition artillery set. In mid 2006 I sold off the two limited edition Trophy sets at a loss to the same person in France. Ah, if only I would have waited another year! In any case, in 2006 I replaced the sold Trophy as well as the also sold off Fuslier & Tradition sets with mainly Conte & W. Britain sets, keeping the FF sets & the Horse drawn Union artillery by Trophy. The diorama was then more realistic with the "Angle" wall section which was part of age 22 year old LT. Alonzo H. Cushing's A Battery Gun unit at that location. Alas, the Trophy Union infantry was largely made up of Iron Brigade figures which I do not have now. However, the LT. Cushing figure was at the "Angle" and as you probable know came from Wisconsin as did 3 of the 5 regiments of the "Iron Brigade". I Have no plans as of now to add anymore figures.

Best regards, "Iron Brigade"

You did a fine job on this, something to be proud of, nothing like making a diorama from scratch, keep up the good work and sharing your pictures, we need more of this type of thread around here.

Amazing that Cushing was all of 22, he and the rest of his battery performed brilliantly that day, the entire Army of the Potomac.........

My thanks to everyone who was nice enough to post a reply to this Thread!
