2011 Winter Set (1 Viewer)

That would be an amazing set but the cost would be pretty high if they did it all at once so I could see a multiple release from this sort of photo covering three seasons. Of course I would like to see some more Indian Army or Colonial sets for the Christmas theme and I would really love to see a Christmas in the Field Set from the Western Desert in the early stages of the Desert Campaign in North Africa. I will have to post a photo I have in one of my books of a British Tank Crew brewing tea for Christmas Morning before they hit the line again its an amazing shot and would make for a fantastic stand alone vignette.

Sorry I cant post the photo now since all my stuff and main computer are still in transit and will not arrive here for several weeks. That said we are having a great time in Germany and I have already acquired 4 very well preserved WWII composite German Soldiers from 4 makers. I found the Store in Rothenberg ob der Taube and will be back there for more in the close future.

Great ideas for xmas in the field sets Dave! I really like your choice of north africa desert campaign as a starting point (My Grandad served in north africa) My one question is what style glossy or matte? My preference is glossy just something about glossy soldiers at christmas.

Very nice Scott we haven't seen a gloss carriage from britains in a while (not sure if the last one was before first gear ownership or not?) So any new carriage done in the redcoats style would be snapped up by me :D Still like your idea of a mounted lifeguard & a boy with an apple thought!

Craig

Yes I like that one to Craig and I would probably pick one up.

Hi Guys,

Scott I will of course enjoy several Brats und Biers!

On the set of Christmas figures I too like Glossy for these sorts of sets but a North African themed one would probably look best in matte especially if it had a vehicle in it. Of course these sorts of things are best decided by our good friends at WBritains.

Here is the 3rd Napoleonic Christmas set sculpted by Ken Osen that completes this wonderful winter triptych. Kudos to Ken and WB for creating such a fine series. Don't you guys think that "Christmas Along the Nile" would be a nice followup?;)

Wouldn't that just be a bunch of Brits freezing to death? ;-)
