Here is the 3rd Napoleonic Christmas set sculpted by Ken Osen that completes this wonderful winter triptych. Kudos to Ken and WB for creating such a fine series. Don't you guys think that "Christmas Along the Nile" would be a nice followup?;)

Now that is beautiful and probably the best of the three. Just wish I had picked up the other two :(

These really are very nice sets and think they will vanish really quickly.

Ordered mine this morning cant wait to display all three together!! Especially liked the lifeguard figure maybe we might see a few accompanying lifeguards to go with it soon? maybe next years london show figure?

I have an idea for a lifeguard figure to incorporate into the next years Winter set. We will have to see if Richard is up for it!
I had hoped to add another section or two to the 1815 range before moving on to another subject. The Winter of 1815-16 actually had a fair amount of snow in England and the period is great for uniforms and civilian clothing as well.
The woman is based on a similar figure in an original Vernet print in my collection from this period. The cart is based on a one in an 1830s London print of a street vendor selling drinks.
Thanks for the kind comments on this years set. I really didn't want to give up the paint master when I finished it, it looked at home in my case with the other two Winter sets. It looks like I will just have to wait like everyone else.
All the Best!
Ken

I think a mounted lifeguard with a small child feeding the horse an apple would be a nice addition.

I ordered this year's set and last year's set yesterday when I called to reserve a ticket for the Williamsburg event. The ability to acquire the Christmas sets was my main reason for joining the club. I am really looking forward to receiving them.

Or how about the drumhorse with his blanket and a Lifeguard or Horseguard leading him and a small child looking on.

i like the idea of seeing an updated drumhorse done in the redcoats style, even if its only in the normal range :D :D :D would be ace in a winter scene though!

How about an adaptation of this Craig? I wouldn't need a base and could be placed in front of the existing Christmas sets as if on the road. Britains may already have the moulds for previous carriages so could adapt one of those.

That would be an amazing set but the cost would be pretty high if they did it all at once so I could see a multiple release from this sort of photo covering three seasons. Of course I would like to see some more Indian Army or Colonial sets for the Christmas theme and I would really love to see a Christmas in the Field Set from the Western Desert in the early stages of the Desert Campaign in North Africa. I will have to post a photo I have in one of my books of a British Tank Crew brewing tea for Christmas Morning before they hit the line again its an amazing shot and would make for a fantastic stand alone vignette.

Sorry I cant post the photo now since all my stuff and main computer are still in transit and will not arrive here for several weeks. That said we are having a great time in Germany and I have already acquired 4 very well preserved WWII composite German Soldiers from 4 makers. I found the Store in Rothenberg ob der Taube and will be back there for more in the close future.

Very nice Scott we haven't seen a gloss carriage from britains in a while (not sure if the last one was before first gear ownership or not?) So any new carriage done in the redcoats style would be snapped up by me :D Still like your idea of a mounted lifeguard & a boy with an apple thought!
