Guys...

As requested here are some pics of one of the two winter tigers completed and ready to go back to the collector.

one pic shows the tracks up close which has been asked for apologies as I cannot remember who asked. The numbers were hand painted this time and the uneveness was something I was asked to do.

Just used AK winter grime for this repaint which, is a new product from Vallejo usually, create my own but, for everyone who is interested in these products its really not bad at all.

Lancer has hit the nail on the head. Several pictures show not only tigers but other german AFV's from this theatre with numbers all over the place. It was that look which, I was asked to go for and, normally I like them all aligned correctly but, this does not look too bad

I would personally prefer a little more dirt on the tank.And I would first wash and then drybrush the numbers on the tank. But apart from that very nice paint job;

BRILLIANT work as always Mitch. While I like my KC Tiger II "as-is" the version you've crafted really adds some character to the beast.

Thanks all. I like the ambush camo of the King Tiger II but, it was a nice change to do KTII in white. I was limited really in scope as it was down to the collector I did it for but, was a nice project to do

Looks Great! Maybe I missed it, but is this based on a real tank? Also, is this going in a dio? Which battle?

These tanks were based on Tigers from Hungary 1945. The guy sent pics etc and stated what he wanted how much weathering numbers etc. the other one is Numbered 300.

They are for dio's he has just sent the details he wants and it will be a four by four base. set at a crossroads where german units meet just near budapest airport. Should keep me busy

I used to do quite a lot of 1/35th scale AFV modelling and some 1/350th scale ships 1/6th Tamiya motorcycles you name it I probably have built it in plastic.

Still do some every now and then at present I am building for myself a Trumpeter 1/350th HMS Hood an absolutely glorious kit and ship and, a same scale Bismarck as a favour to a friend.

I find though the 1/30th stuff can be turned around a lot quicker as the set is built and depending on what wants done the polystone allows quite a good scope for manipulation

I'm just guessing, but Mitch may have been featured in Toy Soldier and Model Figure magazine awhile back. He did an AK cannon, primemover, etc. repainted to Panzer grey.

Nice painting Mitch. The Tiger looks good. I might try the Vallejo winter paint on a test with a 1/35 kit. John
