Has there ever been any World War 1 planes released by K&C? (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

Just got back to HK at 0600 hours this morning (Friday) from my U.S. visit.

Re the above question…Yes, K&C did produce a whole “flying circus” of hand-made wooden WW1 aircraft a few years back…Fokker Tri-Planes...Fokker D VII’s…Albatrosses…SE 5’s…Spads…and quite a few more besides.

Will we do them again?
You bet we will!!! Actually we’ve been hard at work for many months now on a less expensive brand-new “flying circus” which will be revealed in the not-too-distant future…After all, don’t want JJD to feel too lonely flying around those First World War skies all by himself.

Pip, pip and tally ho chaps!

Dear Andy:

Nice to hear about near future new (I assume 1:30 scale) WW1 air planes by K&C. I could use one or two "flying" over my "1914... The March On Paris" diorama.

Cheers! Gary M. / "Iron Brigade"

This is great news. Finally, I shall have some K&C WW1 planes to accompany my vintage movie posters!

Great poster, Jamo. Had the exact same one for years until it "went missing" in a move.:( My dad took off work to take me to see "The Blue Max" when it premiered in DC. It was a great movie then and still is. Thanks for the blast from the past. -- Al

Hi Al. Sorry if this is a bit off subject, but that's great that you saw this movie in the cinema. I was only 2 when it was released so have had to watch it on video/DVD.... Must have been awesome on the big screen. Great movie if you don't let the historical inaccuracies get in the way too much!

Here's a load more stuff to make you nostalgic - movie programme / souvenir book for the press release, lobby card set and an original of the book that was re-printed to coincide with the movie release in 1968. As you can tell, I'm a bit of a fan of the movie!

Strangely enough, I caught the last half hour of the movie 'Aces High' yesterday on TV. Another great WW1 aviation movie....

Great collection, Jamo. I also have the movie souvenir booklet that was sold at the premier. I also had the book "The Blue Max" in a nice first edition. I sold it, along with the other two Stachel books "The Blood Order" and "The Tin Cravat" about a year or so ago. Turned out the "The Blue Max" was worth a pretty penny and there were these toy soldiers I wanted... -- Al
