Hi Guys,

Apologies for not responding sooner to several points raised by collectors. As most of you know I’ve been on one of K&C’s “Annual American Odysseys” and got back just recently. Waiting for me, as usual, was a huge pile of work and correspondence that, I hope, I’m finally getting on top of!

Anyway, here goes with a few answers and replies…

1. On the Napoleonic Front…
This is one of K&C’s most popular ranges and we’re certainly not abandoning it. In fact in 2011 we’ll be increasing the number of releases and the frequency! Re the comment about multi horse limber and gun sets… I stand by what I said… a four or six horse limber and gun set (including the figures) would be a very high-priced item. In my estimation anywhere from US$350 all the way up to almost US$500 or above. Considerably more than a WW2 tank (or at least the ones K&C makes)!!! But hey what do I know? I only manufacture the models and deal with the factories… As we all know there’s no logic in that!
We will however be looking at other suggestions… such as my friend OBEE’s…

2. WW1 Aviation
As mentioned before we’ve been working on this project for quite some time… planes and figures… I hope to be able to show you guys something soon.

3. “Welcome Back Rob!”
Thank goodness you’re back… I was getting ready to send out a search party!

4. “Appreciation
Thankyou one and all… It’s always nice to get few bouquets… it makes a pleasant change from brickbats!!!
Seriously though, all of us at K&C truly appreciate your support, friendship and appreciation and, of course, suggestions.

5. “Warbird Demand
Re the P47D… All 5 sold out within a couple of hours. Apologies for not amending the K&C website.
In the meantime let me announce that the next polystone, resin and metal warbirds after the upcoming ME262 are…
Special Edition Spitfire Mk1 of the American Eagle Squadron of the RAF. Just 250 are being produced and…
U.S. Army Corps P47 “Razorback”. More details to come later.

6. “Fields of Battle
This series is one of my own personal favourites… I’ve got some nice add-on ideas for 2011.

7. “Future of SOHK/USN/USMC
I can assure collectors that SOHK is a huge seller for us, particularly as you would expect, here in the Far East… A lot more in the works.
As for USN/USMC… We have indeed produced a large pirate junk and are in discussion with several factories in the best and most cost effective way to produce it. Once we’ve decided on the best way forward I’ll let you guys know. I’m also working on another related topic that could be very interesting… more details later.

8. PM03 LCM03
We actually produced 200… rejected about half and decided to use the remainder as a sales promotional tool for dealers.

And that my friends is that… hope you get a few answers plus a little bit of a “tease” for the coming months and year.

All the best and… happy collecting!

Andy C.

Andy, thanks for the update. Really glad to hear about the continuation of the FOB range, and I'm especially excited to hear about an upcoming P47 razorback! That will be a great addition to the American Air Forces line.

Thank you Andy, I was in deepest Gloucerstershire and couldn't get online, they've just embraced the wheel down there ;) Love the new Tiger and Bulge sets bythe way and I echo Terry re FOB

All the best and hope to see you in London

Rob

Sweet, FOB rules. Hopefully there are some new Allied releases in the upcoming lot.

WWI sounds the best 'tease' there. pity no hint at what will come first perhaps, a young Goering as leader of the flying circus??? that would be a good personality figure

A P-47 razorback is a must have. Would love to see Mahurin's "Atlantic City" but it doesn't much matter.:D -- Al

I guess my Napoleonic infantry will have to "manhandle" thier artillery and supply wagons!

Seriously though I look forward to more Napoleonic releases. Rumor has it that a new cavalry regiment and more line infantry are planned for next year.
I still think that K&C make the best matte Napoleonics and they look great in their massed formations. :)

I agree Chris, it's a superb range and the now retired Grey Stug is one of my favourite AFV's.

The reply from Andy C is much appreciated and understood.
Okay so it looks like K&C are never going to produce a gun and limber set. That's fine. We can now stop asking and get on with life......;)
It's a shame because having just bought the RHA artillery set I could just see what a great job K&C could have made of the limber.:(

The good positive news is we are going to get more frequent releases of other Napoleonic lines.
More the merrier.:)

If that's the case can we have some French infantry in great coats at some stage. Attacking in column poses with wounded and some retreating rather than formed in square poses.
They would look great facing the charge of the Scots Greys and 92nd Highlanders.
They could also be used in a number of other ways.
Attacking Hougoumont or Le Haye Sainte.

And some British cavalry would almost certainly erase the memory of the missing gun limber.

Cheers

Great to hear about the WW1 aviation stuff, I'm glad to see this range continue to expand as it's my favorite. I'm really looking forward to the final unveiling, hopefully a Nieuport 17 "Superbaby" (my favorite fighter) will be one to be released.

Andy,

If you want to send me the rejected 100 or so LCM03's, I'll take them off your hands as a favour. :)

Cheers

This is an excellent choice for an aircraft. Now, who's do you want represented. Mannock, Ball,or Bishop for the RFC? Or maybe the French flyers Dorme, Guynemer, Madon, or Nungesser? Perhaps a Russian or Italian? So many choices for this widely used airplane. -- Al
