Alamo vignetts!! (1 Viewer)

Hi,

Very nice display. Its good to see how people display their collections, especially in confined spaces. The Alamo series was one that I wish could have collected but it would have been one to many.

Thanks

Andy

Dear Andy:

Thanks for your nice comments on just one of my very small displays. Indeed, if one really wanted to do justice to the Battle of the Alamo you should try to show the whole defensive works at the Alamo which would take up a lot of space. And I already have used up all the space available for large dioramas in our house. Thus, I just obtained these very few Alamo sets from K&C.

Hope I'm not stealing Gary's thunder but here is a very small, unrealistic, display of the K & C Glossy Alamo that I have, which are the only ones I collect. Of course, if anybody wants to add to my collection, I'm all ears ;) :D

The centerpiece is the figure of Bowie, similar to the matte one. However, I like glossy version better :)

Some photos from the Mexican angle :)

In the Mexican three, the figure on the right is missing his bayonet but you can't be too choosy when you find these. This one I purchaed from Lawrence at Hackensack. Thanks again :)

Dear "Jazzeum" / Brad:

Splendid photos of some very nice sets of K&C's "Remember the Alamo" series. I love to try to make realistic dioramas. But NOT every display of miniatures has to be super realistic. Glad to see these sets! Great photography!
