I am collecting WWI medical figures. I recently saw the film Passchendaele (2008) about the Canadian forces in the 1917 battle in Flanders. Among the main characters in the film is Sarah Mann, a nurse in the Canadian Army Medical Corps. I am wondering if there are any figures of the CAMC WWI nurses? I would be interested in glossy or matte or unpainted 54mm or larger, metal, resin or plastic figures showing these nurses in the standard CAMC uniforms. The nurses were called "bluebirds" because of the color of their uniforms.

Below is a still from Passchendaele and images from the Osprey volume on the Canadian Corps in WWI

There are a few sets of Britains....the special releases in teh black box-name is escaping me right now....

There are at least 2 sets of those that come with Nursing Corps figures- I seem to think on set has a Veteran in a wheelchair.

Nice sets- i have a couple but not the ones you seek.

Hi Grant

I have all the Britain's WWI medical sets which I love. The nurses are British and American. The Canadian ones who had a slightly different style of uniform
do not seem to have been made as far as I can tell. The WB Volunteer Aid Detachment Nurses in blue come the closet in style.

Well Iam going to start to dabble in sculpting and modification...maybe this would be a good place for me to start....traditional style or "new"...?

Glossies like these from Britains. The V.A.D. figure on the left is the closest to the Canadian nurses. Keep us posted.
