Forthcoming ACW (1 Viewer)

Now i always thought Americans spoke English, but you guys are talking a whole different language!.I've often wondered if i might enjoy U.S football/baseball.I suppose i'd be a Cardinals fan as i have lots of relatives in Phoenix. Are they any good by the way?!

Rob

Rob,

That lot is discussing college football. The Phoenix Cardinals are in the pros, the National Football League. They're a very bad team. They had the distinction this year of blowing 23-0 lead. They are constantly firing and hiring new coaches and this year was no exception.

The Noles are ACC not SEC. So Combat you may be an Alum but your not a college football fan. I love college football and will watch any of their games over the Pros any day. Yes even Pete Carrol's Trojans.:p

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR !

:D :D :D

Shi-
Not so fast my friend. I was responding to the Vols. The Noles are dead with that octo Bobby B. at the helm.

TELL ME - YOU DIDN'T JUST SAY THAT ABOUT BOBBY BOWDEN.

Brad - You better jump in now ! There are thing that are more important even than politics !!!

BOBBY BOWDEN IS A GOD !

Thanks Brad,i'll have to upset the relatives and support someone else!.Whilst i'm asking your advice,i hear a lot about the New York 'Nicks'?.Is this football or Baseball?.

To try and get this thread back on track what do you hope to see in the Upcoming K & C ACW releases. The other offerings appear to be small sets that stood alone and represented no particular battle or moment in history. I have seen some pictures of them but do not own any so cannot speak for the quality. I do like some of the concepts such as passing ammunition and trying to save a comrade. But it's my opinion K & C has a hard row to hoe if it intends to convert ACW collectors. Britains has definitely jumped their stuff up a notch and is seeking constant collectors input on how to improve. The new Jackson in the Valley series is proof of that. Plus ONTC fills in gaps without even blinking an eye. Conte while not seeking input on the forums is definitely talking to someone probably at the shows. The long awaited release of the Sons of the South series will tell. The sculpting looks good from the pictures but I am kind of dubious about the flesh colors. So K & C may sell to the usual crowd and the investors but will the mainstream ACW guys flock over I guess will see. I would love to here from someone who has some of all of it K & C, Britains,Conte, ONTC, Frontline, and others. It is a good time to collect ACW but what to buy what to buy.

The upcomming ACW is looking to be just individual leader figures - It would be great to get Andy to continue covering each major battle with figures like he did with Antietam.

If he makes a decent Nathan Bedford Forrest I am so buying it. Or Albert Syndey Johnson.

Who ?

Where did they fight ?? Where they Union?

JUST KIDDING Shiloh - Great Confederate Generals !

That Nathan Bedford chappie was a real character wasn't he?.His exploits at fallen timbers were very brave, shame he was connected with the KKK after the war.Would love andy to make some of these personalities.

I think there is state park named after NBF somewhere near Shiloh TN. Drove past it once. So I guess they don't hold the KKK thing against him. I'm not a spokesman for Aeroart but they make a fantastic NBF figure.

Combat you are correct it is just North of I-40. I slave away making electricity across the river from it. Aeroart you say I'll have to check it out. Yes Forrest was a founding member of the KKK but it was created to oppose the carpet baggers from taking advantage of people, passing unfair laws and forcing people off the land. It also served as sort of vigilante law enforcement and fraternal order . After a short while it got twisted into a hate group. When this happened Forrest diassociated from it but is still remembered as one of the founding members.

I would also like to see people like Benjamin Butler and of course Sherman,Lee and Jackson etc.It looks like it will be another great range to be in at the start with.

Rob

I just hope Andy doesn't stop with Civil War personalities and start another line of Soldiers.

Ron

I think he is starting with some confed cavalry.
