I bought this item (Figarti V2)...I requested a return/refund as all four fins were cracked and paint flaking...the seller said send it back for a refund "no problem"...I sent it back packaged better than he packaged it. Then he sends me an email telling me he received back the item. He adds..."I hope you bought insurance" and includes this picture...of course he refuses the refund and now I had to file a claim. eBay says they will respond in 48-72 hours with a verdict? v2.jpg

Considering what you paid for it, it looks like you got hosed.

I'm sure the sale price was fine, for good product. Hope you get satisfaction from eBay.

Did you use the eBay message system? Always use that so they can review the communication thread. The few times I have an issue with a buyer, I ignore all emails sent outside of the eBay message system and insist they communicate through it. Just so everything is properly documented.

Shouldn't really matter that much. He accepted return. If he's trying to claim that you did the damage, that sucks.

I took a look at his feedback history and it's not terrible but it looks like this may have happened before.

I can never understand how some sellers accuse the collector of damaging the sets themselves. does not make sense. All these stories just further strengthen my desire never to use E-bay

I've had a few buyers who claimed I didn't send something or that I packaged an item poorly when they were to blame and clearly pulling a stunt on me. Not much I could do in those cases but accept the item back and issue a refund. Took a little on the chin. But this does happen. It's rare but does happen.

Another example: when I had the shop in NYC, a customer came in insisting that they bought something from me and that it was defective. Upon further inspection, the item had a price tag on it from another soldier shop! Pointing this out, customer yells at me "the customer is always right!" Well, he was right. Right out the door.

Just my insight on the topic. But it does seem strange that this seems to be increasing. And among buyer and seller id's I've done business with too. Some, likely members on this forum.

I will only leave a negative feedback if it is absolutely needed...so I recently noticed the guy has relisted the item (Figarti V-2) I noticed his new ad says "the stupid buyer"...so I sent him this message....

Your item description states "I'm stupid"...so I reflected "my" stupidity in your feedback.
