Please inform me of forum problems (1 Viewer)

Hi Peter,

I have noticed "display overlap" on some pages of the forum. It seems to appear on threads with a large number of posts.

Here is a screen snapshot of the "display overlap" in the Trophy of Wales thread. The screen snapshot illustrates what I am trying to say much better than if I tried to describe it in words.

It is not a bid deal, but I thought you might like to know about it.

Regards, Raymond.:smile2::salute::

I have a similar issue with some of the photos.

Hi, Raymond, Scott,

What browser and browser version are you running, and what operating system? That might impact it, too. For example, I'm running Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7.

Prost!
Brad

Hi Brad,

My OS is Windows XP (Service Pack 3) and my browser is Internet Explorer 7 (Version Number: 7.00.6000.17093).

I have another intermittment display issue in that the last 2 subforums: Dioramas and Diodramas spill over to "Page 2" and need horizontal scrolling.

If this re-appears, I shall post another screen snapshot.

Cheers, Raymond.

Hi, Peter, I noticed that the calendar no longer prints at the bottom of the main forum page. If that's configurable, maybe we'd want to display that again.

Prost!
Brad

Pete, i have not seen this raised before, but not all links on the top of the page work. In particular, the one to the shop does not work, the one to the London show does.

Thank you for all your help.

Regards, Andreas

Please try it again...perhaps there was a very temporary glitch in our site.

Unfortunately, Pete for me on the iPad, only the link to the London Show works.

Not a major problem for me, though: I will find the shop also without the link ....^&grin

Bug: New posts don't seem to be published in real time like before in the What's News? section.
Thanks again for the upgrade and all the work you are putting into this!

Seems fine for me, perhaps it is your computer as the K&C database link didn't work for you either.

I think I may have found (and fixed) the bug for the links...with MAJOR thanks for PanzerPK.

Aparently bug NOT fixed...it works in Explorer but not in Firefox or Chrome. I'll get it tracked down!

I don't think it has do with my computer. I tried on my 2 other machines and see the same behavior. Since the upgrade I see my recent posts in the relevant threads but never in the What's New? section just after they get submitted which seems odd to me, hence my feedback. I am running Windows 7 with Internet Explorer 8 on all my machines. BTW I could still access the K&C db a few days ago and I haven't changed anything on my configuration. Thanks.

Grognard -

If I understand you, what you are saying is that after posting something you are not then able to view it in the 'What's New' section. If that's the case, the forum is actually working properly. The 'What's New' section lists the most recent posts that you have NOT viewed (which is why when you view a thread and refresh the 'What's New' page that thread will go away).

Since you were the one posting, the forum assumes that you have viewed what you have posted, so it doesn't show it to you in the list. (Now, I sometimes question whether people ACTUALLY look at what they post before they post it, but that is another issue completely ^&grin).

If this isn't the issue, let me know.

Hi Peter, thanks for the clarification. I thought that What's New? was listing ALL new posts including the ones one just made. I may be wrong but with the old forum there was a link (can't remember the actual name) that was offering this useful (at least to me) functionality...

How come on my computer at home my login is on the left side but the one here at work it's on the right side?

I moved it from the right to the left yesterday morning. What browser are you using that puts it on the right?

I'm hoping it is just a cached copy of the site!

The button that takes you to the last post in a thread still not working properly, seems to be only whne there are pictures posted in the thread however.

Also when you look at recent albums that have been updated for some reason there are two album both by damian that are inserted right in the middle and these are from 2008. ^&confuse

Also I received a comment on a photo that was in my album. When I click on the notification it brought the picture up twice even though there was only one comment.
