New Ak's and Ea's (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking of getting the camel sets. Are the camels metal? I thought I read they were resin.

I'm not sure. Tony indicated they might be polystone - thus the low price. But they feel heavy enough to me.

As soon as I get mine from George I will let you know. I drop everything. I am such a putz:mad:

It may be that I get overly anxious when handling my guys and I try so hard not to drop or bump them. But I generally will drop or bump one or two every time I handle them. It really pi$$es me off when I do drop or bump them. But then again, as my old sweet old grandmother once told me when I was but an itty-bitty babe, on the front porch whilst she was gently rocking me to sleep in her loving caring arms as the sun set gently in the western sky with a pinkish-blue glow, "Michael," she said, "hush my sweet darling and always remember it's better to be pi$$ed off then pi$$ed on, now go to sleep."  :)

From what I've read, I believe they are polystone. Mine haven't arrived yet.

I live in a warm climate so most of my floor covering is tiles. I was wondering how tough polystone actually is. Have any of you guys dropped any polystone pieces, would they shatter or just chip if they hit concrete? I suspect they'd shatter but I haven't been that curious to try :)

:D Andy, bring on the 150MM ( Heavy ) Field Howitzer gun and Crewfor the DAK, AND WEHRMACHT! How about the( New) MKIV Tank, and the M-13/40Tank, for the (New) DAK Infantry (Hoping)?, and (New) Italian Infantry(Hoping)? British Bedford, 6 Pounder Gun Team. and Mortar Team, and British ARMOR?

Now we've got opel's coming can Bedfords be far behind?.

I'm lucky in that I have a local toy soldier shop. All of my purchases are in cash. No paper trail for the wife to see.

They shatter and chip on carpeting, I have experience in that area  I imagine the final outcome on concrete or tile would be one of complete devistation, especially if from on high:(

Thanks Michael, I guess it pays to be very careful with them.

No! I'm sure I saw one or two in a diorama photo from KC lately....or is it wishful thinking:confused:

Sorry, its wishfull thinking Panda. Those are prototypes which Andy sold to Hans, Larry and Myself. Once Andy sells a prototype, he doesn't put the piece into production.

AK35 - Afrika Korps Motorcycle Combo, a true work of art!

I love it, I don't care for the two additional cross bars used to reinforce the model but I know from first had experience the necessity of it.

Yeah i agree,i wanna pick one of these up in London in March.

Rob

Take some pictures at the London Show and have Brad post them for you?

Ron :D

Well I got my Ak 35 and AK 30 today,The Ak 30 is a nice little tank
but pales in comparison to the motorcycle combo. What an awesome
piece ,the last motorcycle combo the ws 74, I thought was a little disapointing ,so I was rapt too see the improvements in this piece.
