Here come Dispatches! (1 Viewer)

That what I mean its strange to start a range and then leave it. I particulary liked the captured Bin Laden but, I just did not know why it stopped was it popularity or something else??
Mitch

A little bird told me that we can expect a Douglas Haig figure and Sir Francis Drake (defending the English Channel) :wink2:

I also have it on good authority that we won't see King Harold as he lost to William the Conqueror (those darn French). Well, I think he lost, right? ^&grin

Rumor mill claims the reason was due to unpopularity. :redface2::redface2::redface2:

My recollection why they didn't continue with modern warfare was that Andy thought that part of the market was somewhat flooded already, or something like that, and that further issues wouldn't be economically viable.

This guy missed his calling and should have been a comic!!!LOL

Just making sure that we don't take ourselves too, too seriously, something that I think we (particularly me) do sometimes :)

Brad,

I think you mean Norman :wink2:

Not wanting to detract from the Dispatches but has anyone seen the Tapestries in Bayeux regarding the Norman Conquest. They are fascinating. This one is panel 3, Harold coming to the land of Count Guy.

When I attended British school overseas when I was a mere child, we learned all about English history. What has stood out in my memory is Alfred the Great, Harold and William the Conqueror.

As Crusades are rather popular I'll be such a range would do well. How about it Andy :)

Certainly guilty as charged here on my end.

Yes, the Bayeux tapestries are quite exceptional.

Was it not this time last year that Market Garden saw some releases? I wonder if a few will drop into this months dispatches. Forgot earlier with the return to the desert war

Excellent idea!. And how about a Para on motorbike, would also love to see Horsa Glider sections^&cool^&cool^&cool

Rob

All superb ideas and sections of Horsa's would keep cost down but, allow some fantastic diorama's.

Still would like to see a single figure firing the piat at the hip

And as for personality figures I think Robert Cain would be a superb figure, he was in the thick of the action for days, knocking out several German AFV's single handed and at close quaters, rallying his men and all this while wounded and mostly deaf. Absolute Hero (and future father in law of Mr Clarkson of Top Gear fame)

Rob

I don't know if there is an iconic pose summing up Arnhem but, thats got to come close if there is.
