Tom mate,
Welcome to the Forum cobber. You sound like you started the same way as I did as a previous Tamiya Kit builder.
A little tip mate. Don't get involved with those TFs at the London Shows. They will definitely lead you astray. They will ply you with Gin & Tonic and introduce you to strange women behind the Bar.^&grin
Have fun and enjoy your K&C collecting.
Cheers from the Land Downunder, Howard

Hi Tom welcome mate enjoy your time here its a fun place............{sm3}

Welcome to the club Tom!
I too was a Tamiya modeler (Monogram before that since HS). Your plastic building skills will be helpful in this new medium. I've been doing a lot of conversions lately as this new medium do not offer a lot of variety as plastic manufacturers do...but it is very fulfilling.

Again, welcome to the club!

Welcome to the forum Tom.
Me too I started making plastic models at a very young age.When I was 12 there was only Airfix on the market. Later I also built Monogram and Revell and some Tamiya. With more experience behind my teeth, I then concentrated on metal figurines which I hand painted myself .I have now a collection of over 600;Since a couple of years I switched over to collecting Toy Soldiers which I use in small dioramas.( I will have one ready within a week about May 1940: the evacuation of the BEF from the Belgian beach of La Panne)
Again welcome and enjoy your new hobby
