That makes it clear why I don't collect WW2... {eek3}

That is one great collection! Congratulations! :)

Yes, Hammer Films was my growing up period... Ingrid Pitt was a fave of mine! I have several of the vampire dvd's myself but, not the entire collection. Cushing and Lee, such prolific actors in that genre... Good times... good times... :smile2:

Great collection Rob. Some great war documentaries and movies too! The RAF sets, including the planes, look very impressive. Have you worked out where the bowser will be going yet? (NB You'll be needing quite a bit space!)

Hey Jamo, yes its going to be an issue, the Typhoon and Bowser are pretty much going to need a dio of their own I think, I'll get them in somehow!:wink2:

Rob,

Nice and impressive collection, could do with a few more Crimean though!

Will you be in the garage or above it?

Jeff

Jeff, in the garage mate. My wife has agreed in principle to us doing this in the future. It will be really nice as it will probably give me three times the size of the little spare bedroom I use now, it would be like a whole new blank canvass to fill!^&grin:wink2:

Okay Rob, I am now suffering from TS envy.

I don't know which is more impressive. Your extensive knowledge of the TS industry, your fantastic collection of AFV's, or your DOCUMENTARIES and MOVIES!
All of them I guess. :redface2: I have been working on a DVD collection but I have a loooooooonnnnngggggg way to go.

Plus you get a "WHOLE" garage some day ..... wow.
Gives me GOAL to reach someday.

Thanks very much for your kind words Larry. I'm very pleased with how its looking now, its taken many years collecting it all but am very happy with it now.

Great looking.....well everything.

OK so what time do you want me there for movie night? I will bring the popcorn of course

^&grin Ok, you can pick the film to watch!

Steve

Thank you Steve. Yes I also grew up with Hammer on the tv, as kid a remember the Horror double bills they used to show late at night on BBC2, I must have been young as I remember being pretty scared!!{eek3}:smile2:

That's a nicely organized and displayed collection. It looks like you have worked hard on it. I hope you are enjoying your little slice of heaven.

Thanks Gary, it is quite a task sorting it all in order but I think it pays in the end.

Cheers

Rob

WOW Rob! Awesome collection so impeccably displayed! You have a TON of AVF's. Very impressive all lined up for show! Thanks for the pics. I quite enjoyed the powerful, tidy layout of your mighty collection.

All i can say is WOW!!! nice collection hats of to you mate. With a room like that
I would never leave the house.{sm4}

Rob,

Great to see the new set-up. :smile2: Looks like there is more display space available to fill up ^&grin All the best, Lawrence

Super collection you have there and well organized! It appears you have the same issue as me in that those large warbirds don't fit our display cases. {sm2} However all the different nationalities, era's, campaigns and even manufacturers go very well together. Very impressive DVD collection too, you look like a programming director for the History Channel! The only real question left is when does the public start getting guided tours like Louis does, you could call it the "European Symposium" ! {sm4}

Thanks CFM. Yes the only trouble with the Warbirds is finding space, I hope to build some sort of long diorama along the wall at some point that can display my Spit,Hurricane, Typhoon and 'Captured' FW190. They are too nice models to have almost out of view.

' European Symposium' now there's a thought!^&grin

Rob

Rob,

Its kind of comforting to see I`m not alone in the space issue... Different continents, same problems! Lately I`m more involved in finding new ways to display and re-arrange my ever expanding items (that, I think that just as everybody else, includes besides the soldiers, AFV`s, planes and ships, also books, DVD`s and memorabilia), than I am in actually enjoying, reading, making dios and watching to documentaries and films. Your garage solution made quite an echo this side of the equator... I see some tough negotiations ahead with wife & sons! {sm4}
