Under appreciated K&C items (1 Viewer)

I think you should address people who offer a different opinion with a little less sarcasm if you can??

Mitch,

Interesting to see your opinion that CS could produce a DD104 vehicle with 4 full figures for less than $299 (if they wanted to).

4 CS tank crew figures go for US$130 so that would equate the Recovery vehicle as being equal to a CS Tank in cost (ie $170). I am no expert but the M26 seems a more difficult vehicle to produce. CS usually make 300 of something and there is not much option of doing different versions. K&C made 1,250.

Obviously not going to happen but I always appreciate your expert opinion on all manner of subjects.

Regards
Brett
PS Lucky for you yours was a gift.

The original glossy Chinese Wedding Procession. It's one of the most impressive sets I've seen from a maker. Keeping in mind that most of the details were hand painted.

You're "spot on" on all but AK17 (a matter of tastes). Frankly, the M26 Recovery vehicle is one of KCs best vehicles IMO.

One of my Favorites And what got me staretd ,is BBG016 King Tiger Henschel Turret. I am no expert
but it seems to not have sold as well as the other King tiger Porche Turrets.

Gid, I'm curious if you know if this set "Chinese Wedding Procession" in gloss is true gloss paint or sprayed clear gloss??? I have actually emailed TF today asking about the HK138 figures the same question I just asked. Eitherway I'm soon to fine out!

I saw the Wedding Procession years ago when Gideon had his store in Greenwich Village and it's something else. I think it's true gloss.

It's hard to tell. Looks like it could be a layer of gloss applied to the figures after the fact. It was available in both matte and gloss so I would assume it was added.

Still tho, with the earlier sculpting style, it is nicer looking in gloss.

I have received back a response from Treefrog regarding the modern gloss HK figures being sold as "gloss"...they are "gloss coated"...not "gloss painted"

Thought these 1776 American War of Independence figures were unheralded releases, that were nicely done.
