We are gradually building up a very fine collection of vehicles for this range{bravo}}

Rob - I am in !!

I have started a RAF - Battle of Britain Collection - very excited about it.

I still need to pick up the Fuel Truck - but, this truck is another treasure. A must have. ;)

Nice one Ron, its got to be one of the very best ranges K&C produce, just superb releases.

That new truck is going to see some downed Luftwaffe backsides off to a prisoner of war camp!{bravo}}

Cheers

Still need to pick the British Spitfire - I got the American Spitfire - very nice plane

Also waiting on the Typhoon ! - my airfield space is getting crowded ! {eek3}

Mine too Ron, I really like the American Spit but had to let it go to make room for the Typhoon. If Andy makes a D Day striped Spit I'm doomed! I'm fast running out of Organs/Relatives/Hard drugs to sell:wink2:

Count me in! I am getting rid of most of my collections due to other comittments but the RAF is staying! No other range seems to have the diversity (and regularity) of the RAF pieces...and I don't see it ending any time soon, this range can only grow and grow. I have never been too interested in the non-fighting vehicles such as the trucks but put them in RAF blue and something happens to me and I just have to get them!

I am working on a big RAF diorama. It may be a little strange in it's concept but it allows me to collect both the BoB pieces and the Normandy sets (which I happen to think we will see more of, including a D-Day invasion stripe-clad Spitfire!). The diorama will be made up of 2 airfields, one from 1940 and one from 1944 with some nice foliage as a transition between the 2 airfields and eras!

Great minds my friend! It's just the sort of thing I was thinking about, viewers will just HAVE to use a bit of artistic licence! I look forward to seeing your duo Chris,

Rob,

Couldn't have said it better my fellow genious! I was thinking a large sqaure diorama base, divided across the diagonal with the open green fields and buildings of the 1940 airfield which gradually moves into hedgerows and trees, becoming more dense before breaking through the bocage to a clearing in the 1944 Normandy countryside where a Typhoon (and maybe other aircraft fingers crossed!) is being worked on inbetween raids!

Good luck with yours mate. You can claim the copyright on your side of the Atlantic and me on mine!

Welcome to the RAF club. What is not to like about great looking vehicles, mostly limited releases, variety of figures that includes women, dogs, MPs, and pilots. Plus it is all built around a heroic struggle of self-preservation.

THANKS - I am about to post pics of my collection - if I can learn this new upload system ^&confuse

Sounds great Chris. On the flyers for the Typhoon there is a pic of a Typhoon in a wheatfield being rearmed etc, so I thought I may go with the green fields of jolly old England for the Battle of Britain merging into a Normandy wheatfield for the Typhoon. Either way between us we should have air superiority over Southern England and the Bocage! Cheers

Actually, I have to agree with Rob on this one, but I will be after the 8th Army version. :wink2:

I fancy repainting one in german grey and replacing the driver. It would be the AK version as I could just not bring myself to convert an RAF vehicle.

That would be blasphemy indeed!^&grin:wink2:

A great range and another great addition - I'm in! I'm planning out an RAF airfield diorama including the 2 Hurricanes, several pilots and the ground crew set, Nissen hut, ambulance, tilly, fuel bowser and now this!

How about a control tower Andy or am I going to have to build one?!

Rob - don't know if I've said this before, but love what you did with the downed pilot and the Bedford. It makes a nice little dio suggesting that he's going to be taken away in the truck. Hope you don't mind that I incorporated it into my display:)

As for the new truck...it's nice but not a must have. My airfield is already crowed with the MG sports car, Bedford, RAF ambulance (and for the USAF the JG mini-Nissent Quonset Hut facade). And oh yeah, the planes.

Might consider it later on if/when more warbirds come out. But I'm still waiting for an AA gun and a stretcher party for the ambulance (I get tempted to order an FOB stretcher party, but I feel like Andy said there'd be an RAF version so I'd like to wait and see).

I'd also like to see either some figures or supplies to go in the new truck.

Regardless...love the RAF, USAF and Luftwaffe Warbirds and their accessories. I've been downsizing my TS collection and narrowing my focus to those lines because they are top notch.
