Dispatches are up (1 Viewer)

(combined with a lousy dollar) have climbed in cost.

Yes, you have 'hit the nail on the head' with that comment.

Its not only a higher production cost, but the $US dropping that raises the cost. Recently the $AUS went high, so the $US was lower, good in OZ .... but now it dropping, so our cost is going up again {eek3}

Still I'm sure it won't deter the avid collector :tongue:

Well this month's dispatch seems a bit anticlimatic, we knew what we were going to get, no surprises really. Like the Aussie dollar the Canadian dollar is falling fast :p and that makes these pieces even more expensive than they already are with the rapid price increases we've endured lately, $40+ for a single figure....yikes. {eek3} No must haves for me but I'd like to pick up a few Greeks and the odd Bulge German. Definitely picking up the MG "captured" piece that surprisingly retired. I would have thought some of the older Operation Market Garden pieces would have gone to the happy hunting grounds first. Its all good as this is paving the way for a new airdrop! :cool:

Brad,
Regarding your comment

"The new Ludhiana Sikhs have only been released in matte, not gloss. I guess the others haven't done well or not well enough to merit a gloss issuance".

As a dealer I have never ordered a Gloss version of anything K&C and would only do so if had a pre order. At least Andy gave it a try but it would appear the gloss market is too small to make it worthwhile to offer two options of same figure.

On another subject I noted the marching HK Police figure. Note to Andy : Don't forget we need an expat officer to command the four so far{sm4}.

Regards
Brett

Obee, you are spot on: It won't deter me, it'll just slow me down a bit. These are great new releases.

It sure won't!^&grin:wink2: So many releases to catch up on and still two more dispatches this year^&cool. Nobody likes prices going up , of course not , but look at the variety, realism, and regularity of which we get releases from K&C, nobody else comes close , despite what some may want you to think!:wink2:

I think they may have been more popular had they really been gloss in the traditional sense than just varnished

Definitely i'll buy a "Andy" figure in HK Police uniform (i remember a good movie "Infernmal Affairs"about a HK policeman under cover and there is a wonderful training sequence..i think the "British" uniforms are the most stylish in the world!and it's an italian talking;))..eh eh eh..i know i sound flattering but maybe for the 30th anniversary? It's just 2 years away...:)

You are complaining ? We're even worse off in the Euro zone .
A figure that sells at $42 becomes automatically € 42. The value of € 42 = $ 55,86 at the current exchange rate
guy:(
