Don't want to give the wrong impression here, just stating a noticed fact...Im a big time WB ACW fan. Spent two grand in one year getting started....so I would do it all over again and will continue....Now my WB set #31078 arrive wounded union set #1. When I first took them out of the box I noticed they seemed small...got out the kitchen scale and compared to other newer WB and they are about 1/2 oz lighter....seem smaller.......maybe they been wounded and on short rations so lost some weight grin.....well besides that they are wonderful........Sorry if this is a repeat thread I am catching up from being down and out for awhile...

I noticed the same thing with their most recent club piece. The British 24th foot soldier is smaller
then previous releases.

The only thing I can say is that they don't have bases so that would reduce the weight.

That's a very good observation Scott . . . . the absence of a base would certainly "lighten the load" . . . . I am always perplexed with the weight = quality perception . . . .
:) Mike

For me they have to be able to work as a group, so if they look right in my eyes, that is all that matters.

Thanks for the feedback, always a risky option of bringing up topics that can be twisted to whatever agenda someone has regarding a product. Im really looking forward to getting started collecting again......I spend hours doing research and come back to the same conclusion again and again. Nothing beats WB!!!
