I for one cannot wait for the British 22nd foot regiment to releave us! (1 Viewer)

I am also having difficulty in patiently awaiting these figures . . . .

That makes three of us! I already have a diagram drawn out of how the first 20 will look in their formation. When my wife saw the diagram, she said "I thought these weren't going to be out for a couple months still. Why are you drawing up a plan already?" I said, "But honey, that is what Mike did with his 5th Foot Grenadiers and look how amazing his set-up is!"^&grin

The 'Mike made me do it' defense fell rather flat though. I'm going to need to find another method of justification.......

Did I just feel a bus drive over me???? :wink2: I have enough problems with my wife when it comes to this habit . . . er, I mean hobby of ours, I don't need your wife thinking porrly of me too  . I have made so many diagrams of how I want the figures arranged that my wife now just shakes her head and says, "What another diagram . . . really" . . . . . . For sure the 22nd Foot figures will be fun to work with in creating a great looking firing line. I'll have to say Noah, you are already very ambitious . . . "the first 20" {eek3} . I had the same idea . . . create a platoon of 18 pvts, 1 sgt, and 1 officer to start with. Its a good thing their release will be after the first of the new year so that we can start saving our $$$$ . . . .

So, if your wife says the same thing about the diagrams, it sounds like we are in the same perverbial boat!^&grin Also, the idea of 18 pvts, and NCO and the standing officers is exactly what I had planned. While not original ideas by any means, I have two variations of the diagram, one that would represent individual fire and one to represent fire by file. Can't decide which to stick with. Might have to wait till I have the first figures in hand.

Although I believe fire by file is certainly more "properly British", I really think individual fire would look more interesting especailly with the sculpts offered. I plan to "recruit" enough duplicate poses so that I will be able to create a reasonable looking formation of either type. More than likely I will also get the drummer making my initial plans for 21 figures.

Watch out Noah, I think Dan is threatening to throw us under the bus too :p{eek3}:wink2:

I see that. Can't judge though, since I already tried pulling the same trick!

Back to the figures, I think you are right, the file by fire is 'proper', but it usually devolved into individual fire anyway. Either way, I can't wait to have the first samples in hand.

I had originally passed on the 5th Foot mounted colonel, but I have since picked him up to complement the future General Cornwallis. Thought they would fit well together overseeing the two units, the 5th and 22nd in my display. A big thanks for that great deal goes to Mister Dave!
