If you ever have the opportunity to visit Bastogne, take a side trip to Clervaux, which is only a 15 miles or so to the east. Clervaux was the site of a major delaying action fought by elements of the 9th Armored DDivision and the 28th Infantry Division on December 17, 1944. It is well worth the trip. The town is charming and the restored castle containes a small Battle of the Bulge Museum. One of the Voie de la Liberie markers is in the castle courtyard. The centerpiece of the collection, however is the well preserved M4A3 (76mm) Sherman in front of the castle gate. This tank was knocked out on the approach road to the castle during the battle and has remained in Clervaux since then.
