June 7th in a small village just liberated by US Forces..Men relax, congratulate themselves on surviving the first day in France. Bottles of wine are openend..jokes are made..Luckys are passed around, But the festivities are soon interupted as a Willys ambulance Jeep on its way to a Collecting Station screams to a halt to ask directions....Yeah! tomorrow it could be me!!!.

Re: PART 2 7th of june 1944

Great scene Steve. I'll echo the comments from thread #1 in that the buildings and old DD sets look great the way you've set them up. Nice to see that old DD Sherman 105, it was one of my first K&C tanks and even though the track detail is not of recent standards, it's still a great set.

Re: PART 2 7th of june 1944

Really nice buildings

Re: PART 3 7th june 1944

Yes, all three threads are really good. Thanks for posting.

Thanks guys for the comments!!....Yes there are some great releases in the Dio, All old stuff but I still love em all!!!...not any plans at the moment for a colllecting station diorama as all the recent KC wounded/stretcher/ambulance sets are in winter gear..but I do have ideas for a Battle of the Buldge Aid station Dio.

Steve

I have merged the 3 threads together as they are the same topic.

Thanks
Scott

OK Scott thanks!! Had a problem with posting all the pics in one thread , so I had to spread it over the three threads...Not too good with computers I"m afraid.

Very nice dio! As someone bellow already said, it captures exactly the spirit of what American troops must have felt on June 7th, with that "look at that wounded fellow" feeling following them everytime it happened all through the end of the war...
Great pictures, idea and execution!
