Thanks to the good folk of K&C UK I finally got my collecting paws on the RAF Bowser yesterday, mighty pleased with it I am too^&cool Fine looking model and will sit nicely with all my other RAF releases. I also (helped ) convince James (Eazy) to get this version too, he couldn't decide between this and the Mickey Mouse but finally went for this one, sorry mate, what a bad influence I am!^&grin:wink2: A word to the wise to fellow Bowser buyers of either version, FOLLOW THOSE UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS!{eek3} This model has some delicate parts and I can see how it might break if you try to yank it out of the box too fast in eagerness.

Wow that looks nice! Did you get anything else at the show?

Thanks mate, I didn't get anything else yesterday, I was going to finish my UXB figures but some were not in stock so am ordering them later this week.

Nice one Rob - it is a great piece and my preference over the Mickey Mouse version too....

The good thing about the Mickey Mouse camo truck is you can use it with your RAF and British army dio

Rob..

Nice pickup but, you know your going to have to get the camo version now.. rude not to!!!
Mitch

Rob i have the both of them but i think the blue and yellow one has the edge because it fits in better with the other RAF blue sets
Got mine sitting next to the typhoon^&cool

Scott, this is what I thought to. I just didn't think my RAF collection would be complete without it. Hard decision because as Neil says above the MM version is very versatile, hopefully both all in good time:wink2:

If you buy the mickey mouse camo and, then the desert bowser which, will go well with The brit aircraft and, the hurricanes we must be getting then you will have the biggest collection of Tilly's and Bowsers on the forum!!!LOL

Can't believe it took you this long to pick this masterpiece up! :wink2: My preference is the blue and yellow version too and it looks awesome incorporated with the RAF pieces, definitely one of my favourites to date. ^&cool

Hi Rob, you definitely gave good advice yesterday. That Blue and yellow bowser looks fantastic.
My airfield is a bit crowded now, not sure I can fit that Morris truck in anywhere!

Congrat's Rob, it's certainly a nice looking vehicle. I ummed and arrred about buying the Normandy camo version but i passed mainly because im too stretched on the toy soldier front, plus im not collecting RAF or any aircraft or aircraft related sets.

You have a nice collection there mate. Im just wondering about your dio cover, is that made out of perspex (clear acrylic plastic)? If so, im wondering how much it cost you to get it made or did you buy it already made from a shop? I have 3 that i got custom made.

Hi Tom,

Yes i got the display case custom made. It cost I think around £80 but as you can see it's pretty large!
It's my second case- my first holds a d-day landing Scene but it's not as big as the airfield case.
My original intention was for it to be a purely Battle of Britain airfield with the Spitfire and Hurri. I had to put the Typhoon somewhere safe though so I managed to squeeze it in.
