I just got the the new K&C World War Two Russian Infantry sets RA 016 thru RA 021 and have put them on display in previously established diorama area set up about two weeks ago. The display area is inside a book case shelve measuring at about 22 by 9 inches. The trees and bushes came from a hobby store. I think all six figures look great and what a great improvement over the Russian sets from 10 to 12 years ago so far as better detailing goes. Due to lighting limitations for this display area I decided to not get one of the Russian T-34/76 tanks, but rather just have the Russian Infantry coming out of a wooded area. See #5 photos below.

Well these figures dont look bad to me!!!...When they were first shown there were a lot of negative remarks made on the forum but from your pics i can"t see why. the only critic i have is the colour of the Plash Palatka it should be a greenish brown as in the KC releases from some years back, I know that the russian infantry often rolled up the greatcoat when not in use and wore it the same way but this does"nt look like a greatcoat to me. I"m still patiently waiting for mine to arrive..all the figures and one T34, (the one with the tanker in the turret).

I wish to thank "Guy", Notascoldasbastogne" & "Aidman" for there early comments to my new Thread on the just issued K&C Russian Infantry sets shown in my newest diorama.

A special note to "Aidman" / Steve, I would have ordered the K&C Russian tank with the commander in the turret as well if I would have be able to use a tank in the display area I had recently set up for the new WW2 Russians by K&C. Also, good luck with your new WW2 Russians by K&C and please post photos of your new Russian Infantry AND T-34/76 tank after you get them!

Right choice friend....it"s definately the best of the bunch, it"s a real shame you dont have the space to fit it in!! Just as a matter of interest
the importer in the Netherlands..(the only one) was alloted only 4 of this version...AND ONE IS MINE'!!!!!!!!!!!.wonder where all the others went??.

I like how you arranged the figures in the book case shelf with the bases hidden and the red lettered name tag on the shelf. Looks very good. To me it looks like you have room for 1 tank in there. {bravo}}
 
What a strom in a tea cup it was about these figures, they look beaut....:)

I have read comments stating the new Russians did not look any good. Looking at these pics they look GREAT.
Better than the last release.

That was because just about every member complaining were F/L collectors with an anti K/C agenda. Go to the F/L forum to see the very same folks mocking this thread and the K/C Russian releases. Michael

Well, I think the new Russians aren't as good as the previous set done by K&C or the Captured T-34. But that's just my opinion. But there is lots of choice.

There are 3 companies making Russians now. K&C is now on their 3rd set - an initial one on Stalingrad and now a second one on fall of Berlin. I would like to see a KV-1, an early T-34 and some of the early SU SPGs.

Figarti is making some excellent Russian models, mostly from late in the war i.e. Fall of Berlin.

And FL is doing Stalingrad in depth from mid-war.

So there is lots of choice.

Can you give it a break about the FL vs. K&C thing, man it's really getting old...Sammy
 
I received all the new Red Army soldiers on Friday. I think they are great! They fit in nicely with the previous Red Army releases. The T-34's also are wonderful. I am glad that K&C revisited this idea. I am hopeful for more in the future. I also received the recent released K&C LAH, again great stuff!

Have to agree!!!! If people keep perpetuating this childish hostility that has arisen between the two makers then the forum will never be able to do what its supposed to be here for... talking ''all things'' toy soldiers. This mine is better than yours and defend at all costs is pathetic.

The shots posted so far do make the russian releases look much better than they did in the promo pictures. Thats happened a few times can anyone who is decent at photography explain how this can happen?
