The Marlborough Durbar series is a great work of art.

Hi Damian,

Congratulations on adding some beautiful Marlborough Elephants to your collection! My compliments!

The Marlborough Durbar series is a wonderful and most colorful series to collect. Marlborough makes so many interesting and diverse Durbar sets that the Durbar can really come alive in a display. The additions of the Baroda Elephant and the Jaipur Elephant Drummer greatly enhance your terrific collection. You just cannot go wrong adding Marlborough Durbar Elephants to your collection.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat {bravo}}

Hi Damian,

Great sets! So is this a private party or can all of the Marlborough collectors join in? I have a lot of the Marlborough offerings but Pat has a lot more! Anyway here are a few of the ones I have.

It is most certainly not a private party. I just think it is time we make a bit of a fuss about Marlborough.
I have certainly enjoyed my sets and enjoyed my dealings with Brian.
Thanks for posting your sets.

Buidlings are an interesting question and require several answers!

1. Early Stage - original from the Scoby era of ownerships are plastic/composite with metal accents. Quite hard to find today.

2. Present Day - Brian early stage of ownership he has JG Min create plaster/wood based back drops, very fragile, broke a lot. I have 2 of those, they look like the current JG stuff.

3. Today - Currently done by JG = available through JG or on Marlborough Website too.

One interesting side - the Gate has been done many times over throughout the history (Ganesh Gate), original is long gone, but supposedly one is still available today.

Great set! I have Lord Kitchener but the Tonga Cart is still on the to be acquired list! Very nice set up and I really like the added backdrop.

Thanks for sharing
