Guys, this has to be one of K&C's best ranges. A nice little tribute to the Red Devils , with some excellent poses among them. I now only need the figures on chutes (I have the D Day US figures hanging from ceiling and this works well)

So guys, any of you collecting these and still need some sets, or are you right up to date with the releases?

Rob...

A stunning range replicating the bravery and fortitude of the red devils as they battled remarkably in the face of not superior forces but, overwhelming armoured superiority to what they had to defend themselves.

What I thought was an excellent idea was to name all the figures and personalise them. Brilliant you just could not see it work with any other range. Its been a while but, we still don't have Frost and a few others so, I would expect more Para's down the line
Mitch

This was the range that got me into the hobby .just wish we could have some new stuff :(

This was my second series right after AE, looking back at Arnhem 44, there are still missing figures that were done than, but not repeated in MG. I think K&C owe a lot to this series as done in matte, put them on the map in a big way, so hopefully they will revisit a few more times yet. Thanks for raising this Rob, might turn out to have some influence on some new information coming forward. Cheers, Robin.

We should not give up hope for more paras you know mate. Andy has told me that often ranges have a long rest before being revisited again in the future. The FOB range is a good example, it was rested for a long time with very few releases and then it came back with a bang and we've had loads of excellent releases.

Hi Robin, one of the sets I think you mean is the set featuring figures around an upright mapboard, I'd love to see this set redone with todays quality. Always a pleasure to raise these threads mate{bravo}}

Thanks guys and keep your own Arnhem pics/comments coming

You know Rob I just had a free afternoon yesterday without the wife and kids and no chores I cared to do and it was so hot outside I decided to relax, grab some peanuts and a beer and watched from beginning to end without interruption.......A BRIDGE TOO FAR! What a great flick. This series is the core of my collection. I missed Arnhem 44 but Operation Market Garden is the only K&C series I'm almost a completist in. To date I believe all I'm in need of are the troops in chutes, Sosabowski, and the mortar team. The last piece I picked up was the captured piece a number of months ago, just terrific. I'm patiently waiting for the next "drop". :cool:

This film is without a doubt one of the all time classic movies.What a great tribute the K&C releases are to this epic battle.Great idea in concept trying to end the war by
December 1944. Would have saved many, many lives if all went as planned !!!

Hey CFM, a classic War film, one of the very best, I grew up watching the movie on tv every Christmas and yet the minute it was on dvd I had to get it!:wink2: Great set that ' Captured' isn't it. I'm sure at some point our paras will receive reinforcements{bravo}}

Rob:

Great looking photos of your K&C "MG" series of sets on display!!

"Iron Brigade"

well, the wounded set was a great set it would also make a great addition to have some more wounded figures in fighting poses as this was part of the battle. Men with serious injuries were still manning positions and holding back the Nazi troops. Even the german SS who I have spoken to have all spoken with huge admiration at what the Para's at Arnhem did and, achieved.

Rob can't moan at Andy with lack of Arnhem stuff with all the RAF , D-Day and the Dora happy days

well for certain its been great for brit releases and, nice to see. Next dispatches would be right (releases in spetember) to pop in a few of the arnhem figures maybe an ambulance jeep. I think that would round it all off well. excellent thread Rob

Just seen in Howard's post that no Brit Paras figures planned. Not complaining though as with RAF, Home front and D Day its a good year to be collecting the Brits{bravo}}

And five years after he said it Ron was spot on!^&grin:wink2:

Not at all Rob it wasn't said there would never be any so, we shall see. As you say there have been many other Brit releases well, plenty considering how few there were a very short time ago so, its cyclical we are profiting at the moment and, from the sound of it US para's coming soon. Mind, I would expect some with TG and FL starting to do them.

Sounds like Wayne is the winner with his stuka and two tigers!!!!

Yes Wayne must be happy clappy right now, I'm going to want a Tiger myself as I've not got a Grey one. Stuka would be so cool but really don't know where I'd put it.

Am very happy to hear US Paras on the way too, might open up new dio avenues.
