Spitfire 1944 correct CAMOFLAGE (1 Viewer)

Neil..

Great link. sorts the wheat from the chaffe so, to speak.

I haven't followed the discussion so I wasn't aware that there was an issue until Andy mentioned it but is the contention that the new model is too white whereas the second link shows it as the correct color?

I don't have a dog in this fight as they say. I'm only asking the question.

The irony is that the second link shows AIR 012, which is a K & C Wooden Warbird model.

Incidentally, when the Sptifire was first announced, there was some discussion about the Mapleleaf being the right one but the Mapleleaf on AIR 012 is the same as the new polystone one so that doesn't seem to be an issue.

I think its about the tone of the grey that is being discussed. The spitfire Neil has put up of the wooden airbird shows the colourway. I had not seen this picture for a long time and forgot they did a version in wood. No dogs either as its not a fight just comments on the colourway that a group of us think is not correct. I had not even got around to look at the mapleleaf on the wooden one

What I find odd on this forum is you can't talk about this stuff with out it getting nasty and a lot people have shown there true colours today .I find it interesting finding out the information on the plane and you think Andy would like to get it correct as well
