I just received MK090 through MK096 today...and all 7 figures are remarkabley well done...all nicely posed with spectacular colorful banners...but as I add these sets to my Medieval Collection...it now show the disparity of Saracens to Knight even more...

Andy...we need more Saracens...especially foot figures...really bad...it seems like a 2 to 1 ratio of Knights to Saracens...help please...my castle is being over run with not enough Saracens to defend it!!!

That Saracens / Knight display is incredible. I must have studied the dio for 30 min or more.

Question: Where would you put more Saracens on the display?
As the saying goes .... "Can't but help swing a dead cat and not hit a Saracen or a Knight. -- Larry.

Did I spy a Battle on the MONONGAHELA dio in the backgroung?

fabulous display Mike,
have you post before this Castle? I don't remember it. Is it a work of your skill too?
Nevertheless great piece for your (I hope)....next new Saracens??
Cheers
Carlo

"Can't but help swing a dead cat and not hit a Saracen or a Knight."...hahaha...I have never heard that expression before...but if you look closely...you will see the Saracens are far outnumbered...I would like a few more in some combat poses...thrusting spears...throwing spears...swinging swords...swinging axes...dropping rocks off the catwalks...pouring oil from a wooden cauldron...more dead figures...anything Andy can imagine...

yes...maybe not a Monongahela...but definitely FIW...I made that to consolidate a lot of pieces...

Carlo...the castle has been shown on here before...it was the first major project I ever tried...it took months to build...I actually cast each stone in my garage, glued them together and painted them...it's a one of a kind...extremely heavy and I will never take it down...I get a lot of comments when people come in the house...

ao Andy...how about a dozen new Saracens?

Your displays are brilliant works of art Mike....WOW!!!! Thank you for sharing! The castle is just mind blowing! What a terrific, emotive scene!

Joe

And why not Teutonic knights? KC team have little imagination in my opinion, and when they make a range, all the soldiers have exactly the same equipment, just colours change.....{sm2}

Mike,

Both displays are wonderful!!!! I knew about the castle, but was not aware that you had a second permanent display --- my beloved French and Indian War ^&grin^&grin^&grin!!!

As it regards as making the fight more even, considering the numbers, a pair of Browning 50-calibers on the north wall would seem to be needed!!

Wow, Thats what I call a Castle and a Battle Diorama {bravo}}

When I look at a terrific set up like that it makes me question my collecting strategy of dabbling in numerous lines instead of focusing my time, money and energy on just a few key ones. The results you've achieved are spectacular. :cool:

Well, I was sorta’ close.

I remember the thread where you were building that diorama board and did a [FASTASTIC] step-by-step description on the material used for ground cover and bushes, the water and the construction process of the base as well as the bridge, as you went.

Now that my TS space is ready, I MUST go find that thread to see the "ingredients" you used to cook up that great looking display.
Yes, I can see, on a closer inspection, various JJD sets and series, but they all seem to work rather well together!!

Very nice Professor Miller
