That is a very authentic looking house and a fine display. :)

Thank you for sharing.

OD

An excellent house Carlo, and a good composition for the dio :salute:: The tiled roof looks a treat.

Carlo you are a real architect. Most beautiful house;
guy:smile2:

Ohh I like that, very nice house, the figures/cart fit in well.{sm4}

I really like this and I can see you were one of the lucky ones who received the very rare dragoon holding his rifle across his body instead of the shouting version.

I cannot understand why this figure was pulled and replaced with the shouting one, as you could use many figures in a diorama with the rifle across his body whereas you could only use one maybe two at the most in the shouting pose.

I think the 16th Light Dragoon release had so many possibilities and it was a shame that we only got a few poses and none in a firing pose.

Many thanks to all you guys for the kind comments.

You are right Cornwallis the figure you mention is the first version of BR60, really I discovered the matter later and then I purchased the second shouting one (unfortunately the first order was already sold out!), to me too is not clear why K&C made this choice.

Grazie a tutti

Carlo

WONDERFUL Display Carlo, especially the Dragoons and most certainly the one that Cornwallis mentioned. I missed that one. :( :(
What materials did you use to construct the house? It is a professional looking job!! You want to catch a plane and come over to Waldoboro, ME, USA and build me one or two? I'll give you lunch??/ {sm4} {sm4}

The whole scene works well .... with the cart, the house the fence and more. Nice to see more AWI chatter here.
DO MORE!!!!

Larry

Very nice, Carlo! What materials did you use to build your house, and do you have any in-progress photos, showing the construction? As a builder myself, I'm always interested to see how others build their pieces.

Prost!
Brad

Carlo...you're so talented...the building is fantastic...I love the chiminey and shingles...your work is so nice...

thank you very much Larry, Brad and Mike.

Larry, prepare the bowl, one day or another you will hear your doorbell ring three times...!!!

Sorry Brad I didn't take the pictures in progress, may be I will do it for the next house, I intend to build more for the local TS meeting in September.
Nevertheless I made the main structure in polystyrene, then I covered the side walls and the roof with balsa strips, windows are laser cut items I found on e-bay and the door is hand made in balsa too. The chimnery is in polystyrene crafted with various tools.

Mike my friend, you are a masterpiece maker and always a source of inspiration for me.

Carlo

As I wrote last time I continued to build my colonial houses, this is the second one with dormer windows on roof.

.......meanwhile an American patrol faces a Warriori party during a raid....

I took pictures of my work in progress as requested by Brad and I'll post them early.

Hoping you like,

Carlo

Hey Carlo, ….. wow, that is really nice. I mean the whole diorama. But the house is fantastic!
Great job.

I hope you don't mind but I printed out the picture and might give it a go myself. I wanted to make a small town and to buy buildings would be a fortune.

I love the K&C Indian figures and you have some good one there.

Question: What is that figure (on the Indian side) (left) who is shooting a rifle at the NY troops with the black Tricorn hat with white trim?
It is not the backwoodsman, but he looks very interesting.

Larry

Carlo, those are some amazing colonial houses! You have done an excellent job in creating these and you should be rightly proud of your work. The houses and K & C's figures really compliment each other. Thanks for posting these pics.

Noah

Carlo, you're a bit of an architect. Carry on and you will soon be able to show us a complete colonial village.
well done !!!{bravo}}
guy

many thanks Larry, Noah and Guy.
Yes I'd like to build more similar houses and I have in mind some different typologies.

Larry your beautiful Waldoboro town has many buildings which inspire my creativity. The Old German Church is stunning!...I went on Internet to see the beauties of Maine of course!! ah ah ah

Concerning the figure you mentioned it comes from an independent Italian maker named Chasseurs who occasionally realises a couple of figures according to his fancy. For the series 'New England War' he produces two Roger's Rangers (54mm) and two Indian Scouts (60mm), an Iriquois (the one you see in the dio) and an Oneida, the first is the best IMO. You may refer to the following link: http://www.chasseurs.it/catalogo.php
Their price is 30 Euro ca.

If you agree I thought to post some 'work in progress' picts of the last house.

Cheers,
Carlo

hallo guys, here some steps of my house building, hoping you enjoy,
cheers
Carlo
