Trophy at Chicago 2012 (1 Viewer)

Yes that is the set just missing a few figures.
Brian

Excellent find Brian, the hunt now begins to find the missing figures. Having the Gun and Limber is a big plus {bravo}}

Cheers

Hello Martyn,

Your earlier post as abbreviated above explains the 2 variations of the "Front Rank Reload" set.

The set with figures in tea stained pith helmets is for Isandhlwana. (BBZ1)

The set with figures in white pith helmets is for Rorke's Drift. (BBZ1Y or is it BBZ2Y ?):confused:

Thanks, Raymond :)

Hi Raymond

Many thanks for your question :salute::

I have the "White helmet" Rorke's Drift set and the label on the box is hand written "BBZ1Y", I also have the BB set "Doctoring for War" which has a hand written label "BBZ2Y". I think to differentiate between the Tan and White sets they were given slightly different numbers BBZ1 and BBZ1Y.

As you may now Len produced many sets which slightly differed from previous or even currently available (then) sets, these had a prefix "V" to signify variant, I have no idea why the AZW BB sets did not have a "V" but I will try to remember to ask Len when I speak to him next

Hi Al

Len did produce several other BB sets that were very limited in distribution, just to use up his stock of the 24 figure big boxes :wink2:

Here are the descriptions of the ACW BB sets including "Battle of the Wilderness"

Thank you, Martyn
I completely forgot about this ACW set :). I have Salvation Army C03 set LE of 100 set in BB (even it came only with 16 figures) and Australian SA set in 2 boxes, as you might know :) plus SA of Sierra Leone set (add-on only)....

As promised here are the figures I found at the Chicago Show.

Very nice Brian {bravo}}

That Gun Team will display very nicely as it is

The CIV's are a very nice set, be careful, I started my Boer War collection with that set and look at me now^&grin

Both HZ8 - Swazi versus Zulu and ZS 56 - Senior Induna, rarely come up for sale, incidentally the Senior Induna is included in set ZS55 - Left horn of the Buffalo which is a very hard set to find

The Sgt. Major with the Plum pudding is the only Trophy Xmas set I have

Great finds

Cheers

Martyn:)
